Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 106

Chapter 106

Chapter 106 It’s Over Clarissa’s inind wandered a little when Darnien mentioned Caesar salad and

shepherd’s pie

There was another person who liked these two dishes as well

She was going to see this person the next day, but she didn’t tell Damien.

When she got to the office, she transferred 300,000 dollars to Joseph’s account. She had yet to spend

a single cent of the one million dollars she had received from Damien

After that, she arranged for both “An Accountant’s Journey” and the notes on financial cost

management to be delivered back to him. This was to show that there was no longer anything between

then

She took J screenshot of the transfer and a photo of the delivery bill, then sent them to Danien

Clarissa: It’s over.)

Damien (Good)

Though there hadn’t been anything between herself and Joseph to begin with, her actions this time

were more of a representation of her attitude,

Clarissa was afraid Damien would one day make her beg for mercy as well. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

Because this was Clarissa’s first time bringing a lunchbox to the office, she couldn’t help taking a

picture of it and sharing it on Instagram.

Darnien commented on it.

Damien: (Don’t forget about tomorrow.)

Clarissa: (Okay.)

Needless to say, this post captured the whole company’s attention. This was their first time seeing

Damien personally comment on something, after all.

All the other employees who were friends with Clarissa on Instagram followed Damien’s example.

That night, Clarissa prepared the ingredients for Damien’s lunchbox. The next day, she cooked roasted

chicken, stir-fried mushrooms, and shepherd’s pie. Taking into consideration his identity, she also made

him some risotto. She didn’t cook anything for herself, because she was taking the day off. When

Damien saw that there was only one lunchbox, he asked, “Where’s mine?” “Oh, this one’s yours,

hubby. I took the day off today to go see a classmate.” “A classmate?” Damien frowned. “Yeah. I’m not

pulling any tricks this time,” she said innocently.

“Alright ” Thanks to the events of the day before, Damien knew that she wouldn’t try anything funny

Clarissa was relieved.

She didn’t leave with him. Instead, she took the bus to the cemetery where her father, Steven Johnson

was buried. It had been six years.

She put a bouquet of daisies before his grave. She had a lot of things to tell him.

“Dad, I’m here to see you. It’s been a while.” Tears started to roll down her face. When both her parents

had been alive and well, she had been the happiest girl in the world. “Before you died, you told me to

watch over someone, right? I’ve been watching over him, making sure he isn’t doing anything bad with

your eyes. He’s a bit bad-tempered and occasionally looks down on others, but I don’t think he’d do

anything bad. You Lold me not to let him know about you donating your cornea to him so he wouldn’t

feel guilty and would live an upstanding life, so I didn’t. I’m even more inclined to hide the truth from

him now, what with our relationship being the way it is. There’s another thing I wanted to tell you, Dad.

You loved eating shepherd’s pie and Caesar salad, remember? He likes these dishes too. Do you think

he’s always enjoyed them, or does he like eating them now because he’s using your eyes? I honestly

don’t know.” ;

At this point, Clarissa was sobbing and laughing.

“Luke wanted to come to see you too, but he’s too busy with work.” She made an excuse for Luke.

After Steven’s death, Luke had never visited his grave. The latter was angry that Steven hadn’t left

anything behind, aside from a comatose person. When Clarissa sound out about this, she stopped

asking Luke to join her. She was afraid Luke would say things to upset Steven.

When she was done talking to Steven, she stood in front of his grave for a long while.

Both her parents could no longer respond to her, and her only brother kept trying to show hier up. She

couldn’t help feeling disheartened.

She hailed a taxi after leaving the cemetery. In the car, her phone rang. It was Luke.

“So, you still remember that today’s the anniversary of Dad’s death?” she asked angrily. “I couldn’t care

less about that. I want you to get over here right now!” Luke commanded.

He sounded furious. He couldn’t be bothered to visit their father on the anniversary of his death, and he

was angry at her. What a joke!

“What do you want?” Clarissa snapped impatiently. She thought about the time Luke had laced her

drink, and decided not to go. “I’m not going to do anything to you this time. I’m at a coffee shop. Even if

I tried to do anything to you, the surveillance cameras would capture everything. Prison isn’t

somewhere I want to be! I’ll send you the location, so get over here now.” He hung up.

Seeing that it was only noon, Clarissa went to the coffee shop Luke had mentioned.

There was a book and a notebook on the table. The book was “An Accountant’s Journey”, and the

notebook was Joseph’s notes on financial cost management.

So, Luke was here for Joseph.

“What has Joseph done to offend you? Why are you avoiding him like the plague even though he

bought you all those clothes?” Luke demanded to know.

*He could’ve just told me directly that he paid for those clothes. Why did he have to say that my

husband had bought them? Is he my husband?” Clarissa’s eyes were still red from crying.”

Today’s the anniversary of Dad’s death. Have you no heart?!”

Luke sneered, “He said that he doesn’t have a son like me, so I don’t have a father like him!”

“You. “” Clarissa was infuriated,
