DON’T LEAVE ME
Remembering Nicholas’s promise yesterday to take Kimberly around the city of London, she woke up early today with great enthusiasm. Quickly, she took a shower and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast first.
It was already seven in the morning, but Nicholas’s room appeared to be tightly locked. Kimberly was certain he hadn’t woken up from his slumber. After preparing breakfast, she walked to Nicholas’s room with the intention of waking him up.
After knocking several times, he finally opened the door. Still wearing his pajamas, Nicholas lazily looked at Kimberly.
“Why are you making noise so early in the morning?” he asked.
“Tsk, how can you even ask why? You’re the one who promised today to take me around,” Kimberly retorted in frustration. She couldn’t believe the man in front of her had forgotten his own promise.
Nicholas didn’t immediately respond. He glanced briefly at the wall clock in the corner of the room, squinting to confirm the time.
“Oh my, it’s only 7 a. m., Kimberly. Why didn’t you wake me up at 5 a. m.? Where are we going so early? Jogging?” Nicholas shook his head in disbelief.
“Isn’t the air fresher for a morning walk?” Kimberly argued.
“I’m still sleepy,” Nicholas replied casually. He intended to close the bedroom door again, but Kimberly quickly blocked it by leaning her body against it.
“Come on, Nick, hurry up and shower. How much longer do I have to wait for you? You know I’m already very hungry,” Kimberly whined.
Nicholas furrowed his brow. “If you’re hungry, why didn’t you eat first? I didn’t ask you to wait for me.”
Kimberly’s face began to show irritation, but she tried to patiently deal with Nicholas. She just didn’t want to start a fight with that annoying man on this bright morning.
“Don’t we always have breakfast together?” Kimberly said. Then she stepped closer to Nicholas, directed her hand, and intentionally caressed his broad chest covered with pajama fabric. Her fingers danced there, making Nicholas’s hair stand on end instantly. “Do I need to be the one to bathe you, my future husband?” Kimberly asked with a deliberately sensual tone. Nicholas took a deep breath, feeling unprepared to resist Kimberly’s temptation this early in the morning. If he couldn’t control himself, he might pounce on her right now. He even struggled to stop the wild thoughts filling his mind.
“Alright, I’ll go take a shower. But it doesn’t mean I’m giving in this time; I just don’t want to fool around with you, Kimmy,” Nicholas replied.
Kimberly chuckled softly at Nicholas’s behavior. His lazy demeanor was quite evident.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
“Suit yourself, Mr. Alistair. I don’t care. Now go shower; I’ll wait for you at the dining table.”
Without being asked, she left and closed Nicholas’s bedroom door firmly. She chose to wait patiently in the dining room while playing with her phone. Ten minutes passed, and the person she was waiting for finally arrived.
“Have you taken your medicine?” Nicholas asked between bites of their meal. He was just concerned that Kimberly might have a relapse of her illness like before.
Kimberly, still chewing her food, nodded. She chose to sip her drink first before speaking. “Don’t worry, I’ve taken it. It’s even in my bag already. I’m not a child, Nick. You don’t need to remind me all the time.”
“I just don’t want your stomach to suddenly ache while we’re out,” replied Nicholas.
Hearing his response, Kimberly stared closely at Nicholas’s face. “Are you saying you’re worried about me? Oh, I feel so flattered, Nicholas Alistair.”
Instead of answering, Nicholas, who had finished his meal, chose to stand and ignored Kimberly’s question. He then picked up the sweater that had been lying on the sofa and put it on. Not long after, he left.
If he had been gentle these past few days, today his true nature had resurfaced. The cold and indifferent demeanor that often irritated Kimberly.
“I’ll wait for five minutes downstairs; if you’re late, we’ll cancel our outing today,” the man said as he walked out of the apartment, leaving Kimberly reluctantly muttering in frustration.
