Chapter 32 The Happy Reunion
"Alright, it's my fault. I'll treat you today to make amends. Order whatever you like."
When Leah saw Archie, memories of their happy school days flooded her mind.
They had graduated from the same school but pursued different majors.
They had met during school events and struck up an unexpected and harmonious friendship.
And certainly, Archie wasn't Leah's only friend. Janet also had a very close relationship with them.
However, due to Quentin's influence, Leah gradually lost contact with them over the years, and she had only reconnected with Archie recently.
And now, Leah realized how foolish she had been back then. She had left behind her loving family and her closest friends for the sake of Quentin.
In the end, she ended up being disdained.
She couldn't help but find her so-called effort extremely worthless.
Seeing the complex emotions in Leah's eyes, Archie guessed that she had encountered unhappy experiences in recent years. He got up and fetched a rainbow-colored mini cake for her. "Don't dwell on it too much. A dessert can lighten your mood."
Leah accepted the cake with a grateful smile. "Thank you."
Archie watched her eat like a hamster and couldn't help but smile.
"It's okay. Take your time to eat. After you finish, we can discuss the details of what you've been dealing with."
Leah felt an overwhelming sense of reassurance when she looked at her old friend.
"Okay."
On the other side of town, Sharon's phone was constantly ringing with calls from business partners, brands, and directors, all demanding explanations about the online incident. Their interests were closely tied to Sharon, and the potential damage was immeasurable if she became embroiled in a scandal.
Sharon had no choice but to appease them one by one.
After soothing the situation as much as she could, her voice was on the verge of hoarseness.
Her assistant brought her a glass of water and placed it in front of her.
"Sharon, have some water to soothe your throat."
Sharon took a few sips of water and then remembered something. She looked at her assistant and said, "If I remembered correctly, you got that top-tier lawyer, Archie Duncan's
number from a celebrity last time, right? Call him immediately and see it he's available to handle our case. As long as he's on board, there's nothing to worry about."
"I did save that number at the time. I'll give it a try," the assistant said, searching for the number and making the call. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
However, after several unsuccessful attempts, Archie still hadn't answered.
While Leah was enjoying her cake, she noticed Archie's phone constantly ringing, and she asked curiously, "Aren't you going to answer?"
Archie silently shut off the phone and replied calmly, "These are just unimportant calls. We've finally met again, and I don't want anyone to disturb us." Leah nodded in agreement. "You're right."
Archie couldn't help but smile and look at her dotingly.
"Enjoy your meal, and don't worry about anyone else."
Meanwhile, Sharon was waiting anxiously. When her assistant hesitated, she urged, "What's going on? Isn't Archie answering the phone?"
The assistant reluctantly nodded. "At

Duncan is too busy, and he may not be available to take our case."
"If I can't bring him on board, I'll be in real danger. No matter what it takes, I must get him to agree," Sharon pondere for a moment, her eyes brightening with an idea. "I know who can help me get him. Let's hurry. We're going to Worthington Group."
