Chapter 886
Chapter 886
Walking forward, Jeremy took her suitcase and looked at her helplessly.
Following behind him, Cecilia did not say anything. She was not happy nor uncomfortable. After all, this scene was a common occurrence for the past half a year.
After entering the door, Jeremy opened the window to let in some fresh air. He took out a clean towel and handed it to her. "Go wash your face."
"Thank you."
Her body was dirty and her face was grimy, and she felt uncomfortable. After that, Cecilia turned and went into the bathroom. She also took out a set of clean clothes.
When she finished showering and came out, Jeremy had already prepared dinner. It looked like takeout, but the dishes were all light foods. Most importantly, they were all her favorites!
At the table, Jeremy handed her a slice of pizza. Cecilia, who had not eaten anything for lunch, took it and began to wolf it down. Jeremy withdrew his hand and unconsciously, his eyes gleamed with a smile.
For some reason, she was the only one in the entire Castle family whom he didn't hate.
Throughout the quiet meal, Cecilia was eating ravenously. On the contrary, Jeremy just ate a little then put down the spoon. He watched as she ate and drank, and then he spoke only when she put down the spoon.
"Are you full?"
"Yes!"
Cecilia nodded and rubbed her eyes tiredly. As soon as she raised her hand, Jeremy found that there was another crimson scab on her palm. He grabbed her wrist and asked,
"How did you get this?"
He was shocked to see the long, bloody scar.
Cecilia looked at her palm and said, "I hurt myself when I was rushing for the train. It doesn't hurt anymore."
Feeling a little embarrassed, Cecilia pursed her lower lip. "I've never taken a train before, so I'm a bit of a klutz. I'll be more careful next time." "Silly girl!"
Seeing that blisters had formed after the wound was soaked in water, Jeremy glared at her and swallowed back all the words he was about to say: She had indeed suffered a lot when chasing after him these days.
He got up, cleaned up the table, and said, "I'll help you get some medicine and bandage it. How can you treat the wound so sloppily?" While speaking, he had already strode out.
As she was yawning, Cecilia was not listening to him carefully. She just felt that it was a good start for being allowed to enter the house.
When Jeremy came back with the first aid kit, Cecilia had already fallen asleep on the sofa. He didn't know where she came from to the city, but it was obvious that she was very tired. Even her breathing was heavy.
Jeremy stood in front of the sofa for a long time before he found a blanket and covered her with it. When he went out of the door and came back to take the first aid kit, he carried her to bed. Similarly, by the bedside, he stood still for a long time as he stared at her.
The next morning, Cecilia was woken up by her mother's phone call. She was still confused as she listened to her mother's reprimands. Holding the phone, she nodded and had only one word to say the whole time.
"Mhmm."
On the other side, Natasha was trying to persuade
her and she could not help but sigh helplessly.
"Cecilia, you're still young and don't understand love. Don't blind yourself with loyalty. If you choose the wrong path, you will live in regret for the rest of your life."
"Cecilia, don't mess around. You are the young lady of the Castle family, and you have more choices. We should choose carefully. Do you understand? I am not stopping you, but do you really want to give up your parents for a man?"
"Cecilia, where are you? Why aren't you speaking? Is there something wrong?"This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
"I'm really worried about you! If you continue like this, I can't save you. Your dad will arrange for you to go abroad by force. Then, your source of income will be cut off. What will you do? Cecilia!"
Cecilia remained silent for a long time, but she was a little more clear-headed.
"Mom, I'm fine. I'm in Casterwich City. Don't worry. Waverly is here too. We'll talk it out if we have any issues. I'm already a grown-up now, so I'll be fine!"
After a pause, Cecilia suddenly added very seriously.
"Mom, I love Jeremy. Other than him,
I don't want to marry anyone else. Even if you disown me, I don't want to give up. I will accept all the hardships have to suffer. This is my choice. No matter how difficult the road will be in the future, I will still finish it even if I have to do it on my knees! Mom, let me make my own decisions in my life, okay? When I have time, I will go back and visit you and Dad. I will be studying in Casterwich City. My studies will not be delayed, and I will graduate from school with good grades. I promise..."
Meanwhile, Jeremy was outside the door and listening to her words. He narrowed his eyes and turned to leave.
After Cecilia hung up the phone and went downstairs, she found that Jeremy had already prepared their breakfast.
"Jeremy, good morning! Sorry, I've overslept. I'll get up early tomorrow to make breakfast."
Sitting aside, Cecilia grabbed a fritter. It was as easy and casual as it used to be. This was also one of the reasons why she liked Jeremy. She was very relaxed when she was with him.
Without saying anything, Jeremy also picked up a fritter. It was a very quiet meal, perhaps a little too silent and depressing.
After lunch, Cecilia went to clean up the dishes, but Jeremy stopped her. "Cecilia..."
Looking into her eyes, Jeremy paused and continued, "I'll accompany you to buy some daily necessities later."
"Really? Jeremy, you are willing to let me stay here?" Getting up, she hugged Jeremy with great excitement. Cecilia kissed him on the cheek, but before she could grin, Jeremy shattered her hopes.
"No, I'm taking you home."
Cecilia slumped down on the chair and grumbled with a sullen face, "I'm not going home!"
"Cecilia, I have no right to stop you from staying in Casterwich City, but I can't let you stay with me. To be honest, I came back here because the woman I love is here. I came back for her!"
His voice was cold and Cecilia looked like she was about to cry. Under the table, Jeremy's hands were clenched very tightly.
"I can have any woman in the world, but I can't have you! That's because you look like my late sister, and I see you as I see her."
"Stop it!" Cecilia shouted. She slammed the table and stood up, obviously unhappy.
"I know! You've told me many times! I'm going to pack now!"
She was going to leave. If she couldn't stay in his house, then she would live next door.
Along the way, neither of them
spoke a word but played with their phones instead. Cecilia had already rented a house. Although she did not manage to rent one next door, she rented a house behind his which was separated by a street.
Then, she was brought to the largest shopping mall in Casterwich City.

While shopping, Cecilia wasn't in the mood to buy anything. She casually chose four sets of clothes and dragged him around. In front of a high-end wedding dress store, her eyes fell on a white wedding dress displayed by the shop window. However, she suddenly stopped. Jeremy lifted his gaze and his eyes suddenly widened.
That person inside was...
Frederick?
How could it be possible? That woman was with him too?
Looking through the large glass window, he stared at the pair who were shopping for a wedding dress while chatting happily. Jeremy rubbed his eyes
in disbelief.
