Chapter 898
Chapter 898
"Okay..."
Vitoria was a little stunned. As she was leaving, she remembered something and turned around to stuff the dress in Elaine's hand.
"Since you bought it, it's yours now!"
After finishing her words, she walked to Trevor's side and looked at him timidly. Her mind was muddled as she couldn't figure out whether her anger at the moment was caused by that woman or the incident.
Holding her in his arms, Trevor turned and walked out of the door with her.
Behind him, Holger stayed and watched them as they went out of the door.
When the group of people had almost dispersed, he said, "Miss Bt, it's not enough for a woman to only be beautiful, but she must also have the ability to see the bigger picture so that she can be appreciated and doted on by men permanently. Men always care about their dignity. Please don't forget that Miss Atlas is the legitimate Mrs. Clements. Don't take it to heart."
Holger's words carried a lot of weight. What he meant was that "It's not that Mr. Clements doesn't care about you, but what happened today was your own fault!"
Elaine came to her senses in an instant. As she finally realized what had happened, she was annoyed with herself.
"I'm sorry, I know I'm wrong! I didn't do it on purpose. I will remember my place and won't cause another conflict with her again. Could you please explain to Mr. Clements for me? Tell him that Katy..."
As soon as she spoke, the assistant behind her also quickly grabbed Holger's sleeve.
"Mr. Crouch, please, don't fire me. Let me make up for it! I need this job badly. I'm begging you!"
Holger slowly pushed her away.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Clements has issued the order. There's nothing that I can do. Go to the Human Resource department and resign. I will give instructions to make amends to you as much as I can."
As soon as he finished his words, he turned around and went out with a faint sneer on his lips.
Victoria was dragged all the way into the office by Trevor. She held the bank card tightly without saying a word. Subconsciously, she was at a loss. She did not know if her behavior had been reckless and had affected him in some way.
As soon as she entered the door, Trevor loosened his grip on her and went to boil some water. She just stood there and played around with the bank card.
After pouring a glass of hot water, Trevor raised his hand and lifted her chin. He looked at the slight scratch on one side of her cheek which was stained with blood.
Letting go of her chin, Trevor walked to his desk, opened the drawer, and started rummaging through the drawers to find the band-aid.
Biting her lower lip, Victoria lifted her eyes. She wanted to say something but she didn't know what to say. When she saw that he was busy again, she didn't know if she should say anything.
When his bright black leather shoes came into sight again, Victoria spoke bravely, "Honey..."
She wasn't deliberately targeting Elaine. Earlier, she was so angry that she couldn't control herself and wanted to go against Elaine. Beautiful women were born to be a natural enemy, not to mention that they had such a conflict. She couldn't be blamed for being reckless, could she?
Victoria was thinking to herself, and she was still thinking about how she should explain to Trevor. Just then, a small band-aid was placed on her wound. Unconsciously, she let out a muffled groan.
"Mm..."
"Well, looks like you still feel pain after all? I thought you wouldn't feel anything since all you care about was the bank card!"
Trevor rolled his eyes at her and was feeling speechless. Since he saw her just now until this moment, she had been fixing her eyes on the bank card which was worth only 240,000 dollars. It was just a small bargain, but she was grasping it as though it was some treasure. She couldn't bear to let it go.
Hearing his tone, he didn't seem to be angry. Victoria raised her hand and touched her cheek. It wouldn't hurt at all if she didn't touch them.
She guessed that she might have been cut by the sharp edge of the bank card when Elain threw it at her. She really didn't care about this kind of small wound. In contrast, his attitude made her more anxious.
"Don't you blame me?"
Didn't he say that he would support Elaine to be the best with his
abilities? Wasn't her move a complete mess up to his plans? fact, if he didn't show up, she
velhet
wouldn't think that it was a big deal at all. But when he got involved in it, things really changed!
He raised his hand and pinched Victoria's other cheek. "Silly... Why would I let someone hurt you just for that?"
Then, Trevor caressed her face with more ease than before.
Shaking her head, Victoria pointed to her cheek and said,
"This was purely an accident! I didn't mean to cause any trouble. She brought it on herself and damaged the clothes I designed for Miss Claire. She even wanted to force me to sell it to her. Isn't it just because she has something to do with you..."
If Elaine really dared to hit her, she would definitely fight back!
As soon as she finished speaking, Victoria felt that she was being too whiny. Thus, she stepped back to make peace and held back a little of her tone. "I just... I don't like her!"
She was just thinking about her husband! It would be strange if she took a liking to Elaine instead!
While fiddling with the bank card, Victoria clenched her fist tighter.
She added, "I didn't scam her. I worked on the dress for more than three months. I need to pay for the liquidated damages! I deserve the money!" Flipping over the bank card and looking at the password behind it, Victoria also had a thought in her mind. She didn't know if the card held enough money.
Trevor poked her hard in the forehead and chided, "Are you stupid?" He couldn't believe she took three months to design the dress.
"Huh?" Victoria was confused. What did he mean? Was he blaming her?
Lowering her gaze, Victoria looked unhappy.
Seeing this, Trevor gave her a sidelong glance and sighed.
"You are Mrs. Clements! You could have solved the problem with just one simple sentence. Why did you fight with her? Do you want to hurt yourself for such a small amount of money? Are you stupid?"
Wasn't she afraid of degrading herself?
And yet she was holding this little amount of money like a treasure... What was more important, the money or her health? There was even a wound on her face!
Leaning her body forward, Victoria
hugged Trevor and her gloomy face disappeared in an instant. She
smiled brightly and said, "Hone
don't blame me for this. As long as I don't make things difficult for you and don't cause you any trouble, that will be enough!"
Although the money was not much, it was the result of her effort.
Therefore, she would take it seriously. At the thought of having Trevor protecting her, Victoria could not feel any happier. After all, it made her feel loved, protected, and tolerated, even if she felt that she seemed to have caused him trouble.

"No! You're Mrs. Clements, and there's no limit on how much I should protect you!"
Trevor stroked her hair and kissed her forehead fondly. Many people would think that he just cared about morality and reputation. In fact, he
genuinely couldn't bear to see her being wronged, although he didn't have to show up personally in this matter.
"So, Vicky, if something happens in the future, you don't have to give in, especially in Sofare Entertainment. This is your place. You can do whatever you want here."
"I know, but I'm not a bully."
Victoria said with a giggle, but she was deeply pleased. She looked up at Trevor and enjoyed herself in his embrace.
