Chapter 36 She Isn't an Innocent Girl
It was the first time Tina liked Sylvia so much. Tina thought that Sylvia was her life rescuer at present!
"Ms. Langford might have something urgent. Mr. Lawson, please answer it."
Samson forced a smile, then answered it and put her on speakerphone.
"Samson?" the girl said in a complaining tone before Samson spoke anything. "Why did it take you so
long to answer the phone?"
Lawson pinched his eyebrows and turned to look at Samuel hopelessly. "I'm in the middle of
something."
Hearing that, all the people present realized that it must be Sylvia who wanted to ask Samson out.
Sylvia then said in a soft voice, "I'm in the airport. Could you please come pick me up?" This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .
Tina wanted Lawson to go right away because as soon as he left, the game would be over.
"I have something to do now. I'll let my secretary pick you up." Although Samson's tone was gentle,
impatience slowly crept upon him.
Kara let out a sigh. "Mr. Lawson, you're cruel..."
The moment Kara finished her words, Sylvia sensitively noticed something and asked warily, "Are you
with some girl?"
Samson breathed a sigh of relief, hung up his phone, pushed a chair, and stood up irritably.
"I'm sorry, everyone. I have to go to business. I can't play with you this time."
"Go ahead, Mr. Lawson," said Tina as she even broke free from Samuel and stood up to see him off.
Jonathan laughed and gulped down half a glass of wine. "Business?"
Samson shot him an unfriendly look, took his coat helplessly, and walked out of the private room.
After Samson left, things became awkward.
Walter stood up, pulled the shirt on the chair casually, walked to Tina with a gloomy face, and pulled
her out of Samuel's arms.
Tina staggered and almost lost her balance.
"Mr. Johnson, cool down. No one is fighting with you for Tina." Kara chuckled.
Walter snorted and threw a disapproving glance at Samuel, who was slowly putting on his shirt.
"Maybe, but someone is greedy."
Hearing that, Tina was rigid with fear because she knew too well about Samuel of whom no one would
take advantage no matter in actions or words.
As expected, Samuel opened his shirt, lit a cigarette, and took a puff with a frown.
In the hazy smoke, he turned his head and squinted at Walter. "How do you know that I am greedy for
her? Maybe I have got her!"
Johnathan snorted, while Kara stuck out her tongue and stared at Tina in surprise.
With a calm look on her face, Tina tightly grabbed Walter's hand, stopping him from going forward.
"Mr. Johnson, it's late. I'm a little hungry. Let's go eat something."
Noticing Tina's embarrassment, Walter suppressed his anger, glared at Samuel, and stormed out with
Tina, slamming the door heavily.
A chill went up Tina's back as she went out in fear. At the same time, she could hear what Kara had
said before the door was closed.
"Where did Tina work before? Does she do the same work as me?"
Tina wanted to rush in and tell Kara that she was just a secretary of Samuel before!
However, even if Tina got a chance to go back, she did not have enough confidence to retort to Kara,
not to mention that she was dragged away by Walter without hesitation.
Walter rushed all the way, dragged her back to her room and opened the door in a rage.
As soon as they entered the door, he suddenly turned around and pressed Tina against the door.
A dead silence fell on.
Tina's mind went blank for a moment, and then her eyebrows knitted together in confusion.
"Mr. Johnson, what do you mean?"
"What's the relationship between you and Samuel?" Although Walter didn't turn on the light and Tina
couldn't see his expression, his anger swept over the whole room.
With patience, Tina kept a distance from him and said honestly, "He is my former boss."
Walter was dazed for a moment. He probably didn't expect this. Then he thought for a while and asked,
"Which kind of boss?"
He was not that stupid. He knew that the relationship between the boss and the staff was complicated.
With a sigh, Tina lowered her head and softened her tone. "Mr. Johnson, I have my past and privacy.
Could you please let it go?"
After a moment's silence, Walter sneered and let go of Tina.
"I thought you were an innocent girl when you were resistant to my kiss. I see."
The sharp sarcasm was carried in his tone. What he said clearly meant that even if Tina withdrew from
Samuel's office, she would never be able to get rid of Samuel for the rest of her life.
"Sorry to disturb you, Mr. Johnson."
Raising her head, Tina turned on the light.
Bang! As the room was suddenly bright, Walter could see the cold but calm expression on Tina's
perfect face.
He was a little regretful...
"Could you please go out now? I will pay for the room myself." While speaking, she took out the
membership card from her pocket and put it directly into Walter's pocket. Then she turned to make way
for him. "Please."
