Chapter 1674
Though Nina was still grieving, she knew she had to pull herself together for the sake of her children. Life had to move forward.
She stayed by Freya's side throughout the embryo transfer process. Wilfred personally oversaw Freya's care, giving detailed instructions on what to watch for during the early stages of pregnancy. Pharaoh had been so hopeful for Freya's child to be born and Nina wanted to honor that hope. After all the care Pharaoh had given Nina, Orion, and Gemma, Nina felt it was her responsibility to care for Freya now.
Freya, however, protested. "You already have your own children to look after. This is just the beginning for me. I can handle it. Plus, you have a helper at the villa. You don't need to do everything yourself."
"That's not the point," Nina insisted. "We didn't have enough time before to get close. Now that you're here, I want to take care of you properly. I'll make sure you're healthy and glowing, so Dad can rest easy knowing we're all taking care of each other." The mention of Pharaoh tugged at Freya's heart, stirring up the grief she still carried. He had supported her relationship with Micah and had even seemed excited for her future. His passing still felt unreal.
To keep Freya company, Nina invited Lydia to join them. Lydia, now visibly pregnant with her second child, laughed, "It's my second, so I've been a little more relaxed this time around. I'll share what I've learned with Freya, and we can swap stories." The trio soon formed a lively bond, spending time shopping, playing cards, and exchanging tips about motherhood. Nina joked that if Jamie weren't busy caring for Mrs. Lucas, they could gather a fourth and have a proper card game. Meanwhile, Nash's company continued its impressive expansion, and Quincy's business was thriving. In the entertainment world, Nelly had just been named the latest breakout director, and Penelope had climbed to the top of her industry. However, Nelly had her eye on Orion and little Gemma. One day, she made a personal visit to Nina. "Nina, I have a favor to ask."
"We're friends; there's no need for formalities. Just tell me what you need," Nina said with a smile, always happy to help a close friend.
Encouraged by Nina's openness,
Nelly got straight to the point. "I'd love to borrow Orion for a project.
He's had some experience in the et
entertainment world, right? And your little Gemma-she's so adorable. She'd look fantastic on camera."
Nina laughed softly. "Of course, you'd come bearing a mission. No one shows up without a reason when they're as busy as you."
Nelly grinned but remained hopeful.
Nina, however, hesitated. "Orion is focused on school now, andnoveldrama

can't see either of them being involved. Honestly, you should look for someone else. There's no way Nash would agree to this
She shook her head, recalling the trouble Orion faced during his brief time in the entertainment industry Nash would never allow a repeat of that, let alone involve their youngest daughter, who was too young to be in front of a camera.
Still, Nelly pushed gently. "Come on, Nina. You know your words carry weight. Talk to Nash for me. I promise nothing will happen to them. I'll make sure they're safe." "Absolutely not."
Nash's deep voice cut through the conversation as he stepped into the room. Having overheard enough, his stern expression left no room for negotiation. "I won't risk my children's safety for anything." Seeing his unshakable resolve, Nelly had no choice but to drop the idea, despite her lingering disappointment.
