Chapter 970
Chapter 970
Rosalie furrowed her brows.
"He hit you?"
She turned to Theodore and asked, "Again?"
The word "again" was cleverly used. This wasn't the first time they had fought, and Rosalie had already become numb to it. Knowing Theodore had punched Sebastian until Sebastian's face swell didn't shock her anymore.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Theodore knew Rosalie would likely blame him again. He quickly explained, "That's right. I hit him, but there was a reason for it."
Sebastian retorted, "A reason? Rose, I was worried about you. Although you called me, I still felt something was wrong. So, I went looking for you. I suspected Theodore might have done something to you, so I found him, and he just attacked me."
No matter what, Theodore had been the one who hit him. The injuries on Sebastian's face were real. As for the fact that he barged into Theodore's house with a group of men holding weapons and pointing a gun at his head-who would know if he kept it a secret? Even if Theodore said something, what could he do if Sebastian denied it?
Theodore silently watched Sebastian distort the facts. This man was truly cunning.
After hearing Sebastian's words, Rosalie's brow furrowed even tighter. "Seb, I told you I was fine. Why did you still go looking for Theodore?" Sebastian's heart skipped a beat. What was wrong with Rosalie? This shouldn't have been her first reaction after hearing he was hit by Theodore.
Her first reaction should have been anger toward Theodore for hitting him. She should have been mad at Theodore, or even slap Theodore to avenge him. Why was Rosalie calmly questioning him instead?
Theodore didn't expect this to be Rosalie's first response either.
Rosalie continued to look at Sebastian.

"I told you on the phone that I'd return in a week. You said that was fine, but then secretly went looking for Theo Theo also thought something had happened to me, so the two of you started looking for me. You found Vincent, and things escalated to this point, almost killing him. Seb, what am I supposed to say?"
Was Sebastian really a hypocrite?
Sebastian stared at her in disbelief.
"Rose, I was worried about you. On the phone, you kept delaying your return, so...so I had doubts..."
"If you had doubts, you could have
asked me directly," Rosalie
interrupted him. "You could even yell at me on the phone. Why did you say one thing and then do
something else? If you hadn't gone to find Theo, I would have already returned home by now. Vincent would be uninjured, and none of this absurdity would have happened. If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't
have known it was all because of
you!"
If these two men had done nothing, everything would have been over, and life would have continued as usual. But now, with everything in chaos, she could no longer remain calm.
Sebastian never expected Rosalie
would blame him like this. He had
been hit by Theodore and his face
was swollen, but she didn't even blame Theodore. Instead, she
questioned him.
Sebastian felt like he had shot himself in the foot-it was painful indeed.
Had Rosalie changed? Who made her change?
Where did Vincent come from? He seemed to be just another man. Why did he affect her more than Theodore did?
