Chapter 41 Meddling
Chapter 41 Meddling
Sucy asked whether to continue to follow.
Viola typed quickly, “No, I will take care of it. Go back to work tomorrow.”
Who had bribed Mike? Could it be Charles? Or Steven?
The footsteps from far and near interrupted Viola's train of thought.
Viola frowned, only to see those men who had protected Janet coming toward.
“Oh, isn't this the vice president of the Chambers Group?” The young man leading the group bore a
grudge against Viola, he said with sarcasm, “How can a woman possibly become vice president? What
can women do actually except for giving birth to kids? I've never heard of it. Ha ha ha......”
Men behind him burst into laughter, while pushing and shoving her rudely.
Viola moved her lips, but suddenly a burst of colic came from her stomach, and the cold sweat flew
down her back. It was not at this moment she remembered that she had not eaten tonight but drank
several glasses of champagne. Her body had been worn out by so many years of high-intensity work.
No major problems occurred to her body yet, but a lot of minor ailments.
“Why are you so silent? You were talkative just now?” The young man blustered, “If you are afraid,
serve me well, maybe I will let you go.”
Viola stood up with clenched teeth and a pale face. She did not take a look at them thought they were
being rude. She dropped her bag, “You loser can only gain pleasure by depreciating the value of
women. Unfortunately, I am in a bad mood today, I would like to send you to ICU!”
She exercised for years and had good physical quality. Even if she had a sudden stomachache, she
was confidant enough to take down these bastards. Usually, people can’t feel physical pain when they
were in tension.
“You are tough, aren’t you?!” The young man glowered at her fiercely. “Hit her! Let this bitch moan
tonight!”
Several hands stretched to her at the same time, as she clenched her fist and was to make a move, This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
someone was faster than her!
There came the sound of bones breaking. A man in dark flashed in front of her, and the man who had
broken his arm was flung out with a kick before he could cream out.
A burst of autumn wind carried his fresh fragrance in the air. Viola smirked, feeling warmth in her heart
for she had no need to fight alone.
Without any effort, those men were knocked down by Steven and begged for mercy kneeling on the
ground.
“You are meddling...” Viola muttered, but she had been exhausted.
“This is trifle, you don’t have to personally...”
Before Steven could finish his teasing remarks, Viola fell to the ground behind him.
Steven was shocked and quickly held her in his arms, only to find that her face was pale and her eyes,
which had always been bright, were almost dark.
“Viola, what's going on?” Steven was nervous and his joy just now had gone.
“I'm fine...” Viola did not want to show weakness in front of Steven.
“Go to the hospital.” Steven picked her up and walked straight to the parking lot. Being considerate, he
bypassed the noisy hall.
