Chapter 28
Chapter 28
"My father betrayed my mother," Lisa replied.
"Betraying? Can you tell me in more detail?"
That night on a text message, Lisa told Scott that her father had been having an affair long before her
mother died. Exactly when her mother was sick, her father was having an affair. They met at a school
reunion.
Lisa was deeply disappointed and saddened that the father she had respected turned out to be a traitor
to her mother. She had a close relationship with her father and this fact hit her hard.
And tomorrow was what Lisa had been waiting for, a barbeque held by her father. And now her father
has reached Stowe along with his new lover. Tomorrow is the day her father will introduce his girlfriend
to his family and friends who live in Stowe.
Lisa ked her boyfriend for her opinion.
"Scott, what do you think?" Lisa wanted to avoid the barbeque, but she didn't want to hurt her father's
feelings, because he had been traveling for nearly five hours just to see her and Sean, then
enthusiastically prepared everything necessary for the barbeque this weekend. When she finished
telling Scott everything, Lisa as asked.
"I'm sorry, Lisa, if I had a different opinion from you. The only conclusion I got from your story is that
your father cheated on your mother right when your mother was sick. But we don't know what your
mom and dad went through. He may have tried to keep the marriage the best he could, but he was still
a man who needed someone to give him biological satisfaction. Your mother was very sick at the time,
so she was unable to make love to your father, while your father was just a man who couldn't always
pay attention, he also needed attention. While you guys are growing up and having your own thing. The
loneliness and fatigue pushed him to cross the line, and he was accidentally introduced to his old
schoolmate. Please, you have to make a good relationship with your father. He needs all of you, he's
just a human in need of affection. I guess in his heart he didn't mean to betray your mother. Are you
feeling any better?" Scott answered.
"Your explanation is long and complete. Yeah, I feel better and I don't think you can think that way,"
Lisa says.
"I'm just trying to see a problem from different sides. Anyway for the barbeque tomorrow, can I bring my
friends?" Scott asked.
"Of course you can, the events will be much more crowded if there are more people."
"Thank you, Lisa. I'll just take my two best friends, Tom and Katie if they want. Go to bed and calm
yourself. I'm gonna go to bed, too. Good night, I love you."
"I love you too," Lisa replied.
Tom who was sitting next to Scott was quite surprised to see his friendly smile and reply. Then he
asked: "You are in love. Be honest, is she the girl that fell with you down the cliff?"
Scott looked at his friend and said, "Yeah, she's the girl. From the moment I saw her I knew that she
was my partner, I just never thought we'd meet at the bottom of the cliff. At first, I wanted to refuse her
as my partner, because I wanted to go with someone from our pack who's also a werewolf. However, I
tried to get to know her first and found out she was different. Maybe that's why Moon Goddess chose
her for me.”
"Different how?" asked Tom.
"She's different from girls her age. She's older, and I don't know, there's something in her that makes
me want to protect her and have her. I felt at ease with her and slowly it made me realize that she was
the right girl for me, "Sam replied.
At the same time, it turned out that Katie was standing nearby with two plates of food. The girl was
shocked by Scott's words, her heart filled with jealousy, and if Lisa had been come to them, she might
have been able to be with Scott.
That vendetta required him to execute his next plan as soon as possible. He had to call Fred back and
start putting their plan into action.
Then Katie walked up to her two friends and gave them the food and at the same time, Scott invited
them to attend a barbecue at Lisa's house.
Katie was growing jealous, but she kept herself from showing her jealousy. She gave Lisa and Scott a
chance to be together for a while until eventually, she would separate them. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Well, are you coming with me tomorrow?" Scott asked.
"I'll go with you, see if I can find some girls I can date there," said Tom.
"I'm coming," Katie answered.
But at that moment Scott felt there was something different about Katie. Her face showed unhappiness.
"Kat, are you ok? "Scott asked.
"Yeah, I am ok. Why are you asking me that? "Katie asked.
"You look sad and unhappy. Shouldn't we be happy now that our problems are solved and everything is
safe as it was understood?. Is there anything else you can think of?"Scott asked.
"Nothing. I go to bed first," he replied.
Scott and Tom watched Katie's body walk away from them. The night grew late, everyone had lain
down on their beds. Meanwhile, someone was running badly wounded, he was one of the guards who
survivedfrom Tom's attack.
He screamed at Mr. James' name. He wanted to tell the man that all their missions had failed and all
the guards had been killed. Mr. James, sitting in his office, thought that his mission would be success,
given the large number of guards involved.
"Mr. James," exclaimed the guard. His body was sustained by two other guards. Blood flowed down his
body and his breath sounded heavy.
The middle-aged man was surprised to hear someone calling his name. He stood up and stepped
toward the door. The slide of the door handle was pointing down and he saw the guard he had sent
walking toward him.
"Mr. James. Our mission failed, all the guards were killed," he exclaimed.
"What did you say? How come?" The man asked, holding back his emotions.
"There were three wolves who came to help Bert. It's beyond our expectations. At the time, Bert had
been wounded quite badly, but suddenly help came for him. All the guards died, all that was left was
me," replied the guard.
"You're completely useless," exclaimed Mr. James.
