Chapter 57 Kneel down, and then I'll believe you
Chapter 57 Kneel down, and then I'll believe you
Sadie was in a bad mood, staying in the villa all day and not going out, driving the app to learn English
again and again.
Julian was very busy. He kept answering the phone, and his voice could be heard through the wall.
After dinner, she was so bored that she took her phone to check the micro blog and saw the first of the
popular forwarding, saying that there was a meteor shower, so she couldn't help but look forward to it.
She hadn't seen any meteor showers when they were forecasted before, so she hoped she would have
better luck this time.
It was predicted that the first one would be around 7:30 in the evening. She went back to her room and
headed out to the deck, feeling that it wasn't a good location. Then she went back downstairs and ran
out of the courtyard and down to the beach alone.
The beach at night was quiet, and the sound of waves hitting the coastal reefs made her feel an
upsurge of emotion.
As time passed by, there were more and more stars in the sky, and each one was bright and dazzling.
Sadie clasped her hands together nervously, staring at the vast sky.
Suddenly, a meteorite streaked across the sky, followed by a second and a third.
She was so excited that she closed her eyes and made a wish, "Shooting star, please bless me to find
out my origin as soon as possible."
After that, Sadie opened her eyes and looked at the meteors constantly passing through the galaxy of
the sky in amazement, and her depression was cleared away.
After a while, she heard footsteps approaching behind her and turned her head subconsciously.
Wearing a nightgown, Julian stood under the light with ramrod posture and a faint smile hovered on his
lips, "Is the sound of the waves too noisy?"
"No." Sadie smiled and ran towards him quickly, leaping into his arms happily. “"I saw a shooting star,
Julian. I just saw a shooting star!"
Julian hugged her soft body tightly and tilted his head slightly to look at the sky. "Have you made a
wish?"
Sadie nodded, and her eyes lit up,” Yes."
Seeing her unsuspecting and charming appearance at first glance, Julian rubbed her head fondly,
feeling soft.

It was only 9 o'clock in the morning when they returned to City B. Sadie kept yawning with dark
shadows under her eyes.
Last night they watched the shooting stars until midnight, and they didn't sleep long before Julian
received a call from Khalid and hurriedly brought her back.
Julian sent her to the break room, and then went to the meeting immediately with a solemn expression.
Sadie woke up and found that Khalid and Julian were not there. An unfamiliar assistant was waiting
outside and told her that Julian was on a business trip and would be back a week later.
She yawned and calmly went downstairs to let Ted send herself back to school.
Daisy was the only one in the bedroom, seeming to be fiddling with something. She looked forward
curiously for a while, and said suspiciously, "What are you doing?"
"I always think Paige will do bad things, there is no harm in being prepared." Daisy raised her head and
pouted her lips at her bed. "She flipped through your quilt and pillow, and messed up your book. I don't
know what she wants to do."
The idea of installing surveillance was not proposed by her, but she could not speak out.
Sadie smiled, resting her cheeks in her hands and looking at her, “Daisy, you are so kind to me."
"We are friends." Daisy lowered her head with a guilty conscience, and set up various settings,
checked the quality of the captured image, then hid the window.
When Sadie waited for her to finish, she accidentally saw the list Daisy put on the table and couldn't
help asking. "Do we have to pay the electricity bill again in less than a month?"
"I paid for it for you, and you can give it to me later." Daisy didn't care.
Sadie calculated the amount, washed her face after transferring the account, and then took Daisy to
dinner.
It rained suddenly in the middle of the night, and didn't clear until Thursday. Probably because of the
rain, everyone was a little depressed, and no one was interested in registering for the new competition.
After class in the afternoon, Daisy was going to participate in association activities and forced Sadie to
go with her.
She wasn't interested, but she followed.
The name of the association was called Flower Photography Association, and the members were all
photography enthusiasts. The main activities of the association were to promote the school in the form
of a combination of text and pictures, and occasionally held photo competitions.
Advertising majors would offer photography courses in the sophomore year, so there were still many
people in this association.
Sadie visited around and saw that many people were taking pictures with their phones. She also signed
up under Daisy's persuasion.
After the activity, they went back to the downstairs of the dormitory, and they were not surprised to be
taught a lesson by the housemaster. The housemaster also told them that there had been frequent
thefts in the dormitory recently, so they should behave themselves.
The two smiled at each other and didn't care about it at all, and then they ran upstairs with light steps.
There was no one in the bedroom, Paige and Riley were not there, and they talked and hurriedly took a
shower and fell asleep.
Sadie woke up early the next morning as usual, put on her sportswear and took her mobile phone to go
for a morning jog. After so many days of rain, it was rare to clear up, and her body would be useless if
she did not exercise.
After running a lap, she accidentally met Otto.
The moment she saw him, her face clouded, and then she ran away blankly.
"Angry?" Otto trot to follow, with a sad expression on his face. "What you saw was true, but that was
not my intention. Because of the embezzlement of public funds, I lost any real power in the company
after I came back from abroad."
Sadie ignored him, silently reciting English words and jogging at a constant speed.
Probably because of the rain, the temperature was much lower than before. After she ran a lap, she
just felt a little warmth in her body.
However, as soon as Otto appeared, the last little warmth disappeared. Her hands and feet were cold,
as if she had fallen into an ice cave.
She ran another lap as if there was no one else, and when she saw Otto still following her and
breathing quickly, she felt malicious pleasure inexplicably. "Otto, we have broken up. You keep
following me like this, it will cause me trouble."
After speaking, she sarcastically retracted her gaze, amplified the sound of the earphones, and
continued to jog along the court.
Otto hadn't exercised for a long time since he took over the family's business. After running a lap, his
legs became weak, and anger was boiling up inside him.
“Sadie.” Otto speeded up to catch up, reaching out and pulling her vigorously, and he said with a
gloomy expression, “How can you trust me!"
He roared loudly that the classmates and teachers who were running on the court looked over. Some of
them probably recognized Otto and stopped and waited to watch the fun.
Sadie took out her hand calmly and sneered, "You kneel down, and then I'll believe you are sincere."
Did he treat her as a three-year-old child? It was almost a live show, and he unquestionably told her
that it was not what he meant!
Otto's face changed slightly, and his handsome, sweaty face was stained with anger. "Sadie, don't
make trouble without reason!"
Sadie took a step back, raised her head slightly, and her dark and bright eyes were full of mockery.
"Since you think so, then I will be willful once. If you want me to believe you, you can. You kneel down,
kneel down and I will believe what you said."
Otto narrowed his star eyes slightly, and the smile on his face went away inch by inch. "Sadie, are you
serious?"
