Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 36

Gina.

The movement of people running around the house woke me up from my sleep, and my eyes instinctively went to my bed clock to see that it was past five in the morning.

I wondered what was happening as I threw on my rope before putting on a pair of black pants and a big shirt.

I came out of my room to see my maid already standing by my door and shivering terribly out of fear.

“What is happening?” I asked in a subtle tone.

“The pack is under attack,” she replied.

Attack? We haven’t had one of those in a long while. Who would want to invade our pack, and what do they want? I wondered as the noise coming from outside seemed to get louder by the minute.

The first thing that came to mind was my parents. It was a norm that when rival packs attacked, they most often start with the omega section due to how vulnerable we can be.

Thinking of how my parents must be so scared and may need my help made me want to get to them that instant.

Instinctively, I headed straight for the front door.

“What are you doing?” Joy asked as she followed me.

“I am going to ensure that my parents are safe,” I said to her.

“But you can’t go out; it’s dangerous out there,” my maid cried after me.

“Don’t worry, I will be fine; just tell the triplets that I have gone to my parents when they come looking for me,” I said.

I had just opened the door when I saw Derrick and some of our warriors fighting off other warriors from our rivalry pack at the door.

On seeing me, one of the warriors made to attack me at full speed, but I was quick to close the door against him.

I didn’t understand why there were so many warriors outside my apartment; it almost felt as if they were doing all they could to come into my apartment.

What do they want? I wondered.

I dragged my maid with me to the kitchen and asked her to tuck herself into one of the kitchen cabinets for safety.

Being that she was petite, she was a perfect fit in the cabinet.

I thought of how I could escape through the back door into the woods and find a way of getting to my parents as fast as I could. So, I headed to the back door, and as soon as I opened the door, an arrow flew right past me.

And the next thing I knew was that Denver had jumped on the man who threw the arrow and was punching him ferociously.

It dawned on me at that moment that the entire house was surrounded.

I was so worried as to what could have happened to my parents that hot tears were already blurring my vision.

But luckily, after some time, the fighting sounds outside seemed to lessen as the door soon opened and Derrick walked in looking all bloody.

“My parents,” I said to him in panic as I hurried towards him.

“They are alright, but now we have to get you out of here,” he said while dropping his b***d-drowned sword on the table.

“Where are you taking me?” I questioned, wondering why he or they were thinking of taking me elsewhere.

“Somewhere safe until we can figure out why our pack was attacked because of you,” he said casually.

“I don’t understand,” I said, as a million thoughts flowed through my mind as to why anyone would want to attack the pack because of me.

I was not that important.

We were soon joined by Denver and Devon, who were also looking haggard in their bloody clothes and swords.

“Have you figured out where we can take her,” Devon asked?

“Not yet,” Derrick replied.

“We are not taking her anyway,” Denver said.

“What are you saying? What if they come back?” Derrick fired at him.

“We will be ready for them, but we must not let them think that we are cowards by hiding her away from everyone. She will remain here with us, and we will protect her with our last breath if that is what it takes,” Denver told his brothers, who seemed not to support his decision.

“She may have to leave this place though and move into the main house with us; that way, we can never be taken surprised next time,” he said, and his brothers seemed to agree with that last part.

Listening to them talk about me as if I were not there, didn’t sit well with me. I wasn’t exactly angry, but I certainly would have loved for them to ask for my opinion to know whether I was cool with their plans or not.

“I would rather not move into the main house,” I said bluntly to them.

They all turned to look at me as if just realizing I was there for the first time.

“Why is that?” Denver questioned.

“I am not of royal b***d yet, and I want to avoid being embarrassed like I was the other time,” I said to them boldly.

While silently wishing that they don’t force me into moving into the main house with them.

The brothers exchanged looks among themselves before Denver spoke again.

“Fine, we will have to double the number of security guards we have around here,” he said to his brothers.

Later that day, after I came back from seeing my parents, the triplet went around the pack to try and see the extent of damage that had been caused by the invasion.

But surprisingly, there was no death count, and most of the attention of the warriors had been on my apartment alone.

Which made them conclude that I was the sole reason behind the attack. They had given me security guards to watch and follow my every move.

It was a bit overwhelming, but we hoped that it would get better.

I was back in my room when I was told that someone had brought a message for me.

I went outside and was surprised to see that it was Samuel; I hadn’t seen him for so long. When I asked, I was told he went on his annual leave.

“Hey Sam,” I called out excitedly as soon as my gaze landed on him.

“Hello mistress,” he said politely with a nice smile.

“Where have you been? It’s good to see you back,” I said to him excitedly.

“Thank you, ma, he said in a formal tone while keeping his smile in place.

I noticed, however, that he was very formal with me, and I couldn’t exactly tell how I felt about that.

“I came to tell you that I am back from my leave and that if you need anything, I will be at your service,” he said.

I was so confused about how to answer him, as I wasn’t pleased that he was being so formal with me. But also, I wanted to avoid pushing it because somehow I felt I was part of the reason he left in the first place.

“Thanks,” I said, nodding my head in affirmation.

I was later invited by Luna into her chambers. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

I have never been to the Luna chambers, the reason being that it is one of the most strictly out-of-bound places for palace maids.

The only people with the privilege of going into her chambers were her maids, her children, and her alpha.

At first, I was scared and reluctant to go, as I was scared about what she would probably want from me.

But since she had already requested my presence, I knew I had to go and see her.

That afternoon, after trying out all the beautiful dresses I had in my wardrobe, I finally settled on a pair of blue jeans, a white shirt, and a pair of white sneakers.

I know what you are thinking—that my dress code is so wrong—but hey, what matters is that I am comfortable in it, right?

Moreover, I want a good head start when she decides to chase me out of the palace.

I kept my makeup light and bound my hair into a mini bun, but decided at the last minute to just let the hair flow.

It was about twenty minutes until lunchtime when I walked out of my apartment and headed straight to the main house.

I couldn’t help but notice countless stares from the maids and servants as I made my way to the main house.

At first, it felt weird, and I kept asking myself if I was overdressed, but as I got closer to the main house, I got used to the stares.

I saw the triplets addressing some of our pack warriors, and I believe the moment they could pick up my scent, they turned around almost simultaneously.

The way their eyes feasted on various parts of my body told me I did something right that evening.

They were quick to dismiss the warriors they were talking to and walked down to where I was.

I gave a nervous smile as they got closer to me.

“Are you sure you are having just chats with our mother, or you are trying to become our stepmother?” teased Devon, whose eyes kept checking out every part of my body.

I couldn’t help but chuckle at his silly question, as I found myself rolling my eyes.

“You look wonderful,” Derrick complimented with a smile.

“Thanks,” I replied with a chuckle.

“Have you guys been able to figure out the pack that invaded us?” I questioned, deliberately directing my question directly to Denver, who has been all quiet.

“Not exactly, but we are still working on it,” Devon replied.

Denver, however, seems to be looking at everyone and everything else but me.

“You should probably go and meet your future mother-in-law; you want to avoid keeping her waiting,” Derrick said with a wink.

“Yeah,” I replied.

I was a little disappointed that Denver did not compliment me; not that it was important, though.

But it would have felt nice to hear what he had to say about my look.

Maybe he doesn’t like it, or does he think it was too much? I just wish I could hear his thoughts, though.

Nevertheless, I made my way into the house. I had just stepped inside when I saw Gwen climbing down the stairs.

Her hate and anger were so obvious in her eyes that if eyes could kill, I would be dead that instant.

“Good evening, mistress, our Luna asked that I bring you to her,” one of the queen maids said to me respectfully.

I smiled and nodded my head at the maid while asking that she lead the way.

I was taken to the queen’s chamber, and damn, the beauty and art with which the royal queen’s chamber was designed were out of this world.

Her room was so large and spacious and was mostly covered in cream and gold designs.

“Good evening, ma,” I said, slightly bending my knees as soon as I saw her.

She was full of smiles as she gestured for me to come in.

“You are welcome to my chambers,” she said with a heart-melting smile.

“Thank you, ma,” I said, trying as much as possible to stay posh.

“You are looking gorgeous; I love these blue jeans; do you think I can get my size in the same pattern?” She questioned as she checked out my dress.

“I am sure you would get your size; I will personally look out for it when next I am out shopping,” I said.

“Oh, bless you, dear,” she said, gesturing for me to sit on her beautiful bed with her.

I was surprised that she would want a pair of jeans since I have never seen her wear them.

We were soon served some hot chocolate tea and some nice, expensive biscuits.

I later got to know that the reason she invited me over was that she just wanted to chat and also know how I was faring after the attack this morning.

She was very pleasant, and honestly, I saw a different version of her when we were finally done.

Before I left her room, she told me that I could come to visit her anytime I wanted and that she had enjoyed my company.

I thanked her for her kindness before leaving her chambers and returning to my apartment.
