Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Emma was a little annoyed.
Since she woke up at home again, Glenn had been sticking to her more aggressively than before.
No matter she beat him or scolded at him, he would never go away. Emma decided to move out.
While Glenn was out buying her some fruit, Emma quickly packed her things and decided to sneak out
before he came back.
But as soon as she went out of the door, she was knocked into by the doctor who came to give her a
routine physical check-up. The doctor immediately stopped her from leaving.
Emma was so angry. She dragged her luggage back to the room and shut the door with a snap.
Actually, Emma isn't so averse to stay with Glenn any more. Whether it is because he saved her in the
fire, or the care he has given her during this time, it is enough to make Emma believe that Glenn really
wants to get back together with her.
What she actually rejected is herself.
It’s like something that you've been thinking about for many years and you almost go crazy because of
it. But after you finally give it up, it gets you instead.
Emma was a little overwhelmed by this feeling.
She didn't know in what kind of attitude to face Glenn's pursuit.
After all, there were so many things happening between them, far from being offset by a word of sorry.
Emma sulked for a while in the room, and suddenly she heard a grunt from her stomach.
She comforted the little baby in her stomach with a headache.
Emma reluctantly opened the door. As expected, she saw Glenn at the door. Seeing her open the door,
his eyes brightened in instant and immediately asked the servant to serve the dishes.
Emma glanced at him with a little angry and found that it didn't play a deterrent role. So she gave it up.
After lunch, Glenn walked with Emma in the yard for a while. Then he pressed Emma on a chair and
took out a book to read to her. He called it "prenatal education.”
Emma stroked her bulging belly and thought of the question she had thought about for a thousand
times.
Did Glenn really know whose the baby is?
Glenn read the enlightenment book slowly and rhythmically with a elegant voice. He was like reading a
poem with excellent rhythm. Emma suddenly felt a bit sleepy.
Glenn gradually lowered down his voice. He looked at Emma, who had been sleeping with her head
askew, and his eyes were full of love.
Glenn got up and kissed Emma on her forehead, and then he adjusted her head. After doing these,
Glenn went in to get Emma a plush blanket. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Only Emma was taking a nap in the small yard.
As the leaves rustled, Emma's eyes half closed and she called "Glenn" vaguely.
“Hum, interesting.”
A woman's mocking laugh suddenly came to Emma's ears. Emma instantly opened her eyes and saw
her half-sister Celia standing in front of her.
Emma carefully protected her belly with her hands. She looked around and found that no one was
around. She stared at Celia.
"How did you get in?”
Celia was in a sorry plight at the moment. After she lost Jamie and Glen, the debt collector found her
again. She had no choice but to hide. It took her more than ten days to find a chance sneaking into
Glenn's house.
Emma looked at her eyes with obvious hostility, but Celia seemed to have changed. She just went
forward two steps, and then knelt down in front of Emma.
As if the sneer Emma heard in a daze did not come from her.
"Sister, please help me, or I will be killed by them.”
Emma looked at Celia, who was kneeling at her feet. She was frightened at first, then she calmed down
slowly and said indifferently.
"I'm afraid you've got the wrong person. There's no your sister here.”
But Celia took two steps forward on her knees, crying, "You're my sister. You really are! I won't take
Glenn from you anymore. Help me, please. I can't be caught by them.”
Emma looked at the so-called "sister" kneeling humbly at her feet, and she rose a smile of self
mockery.
"How do you expect me to help you? Send you abroad as three years ago, marry Glenn instead of you
to make Glenn hate me and torture me?”
Celia shook her head desperately, "I don't dare to do that any more.”
Emma sighed, she suddenly felt a little sad. She asked, "How much do you owe them?”
Celia stretched out two fingers.
“Two million?” Emma asked.
“No...” Celia said.
Emma was astonished, “Twenty million?”
Celia replied with tremble, “It’s two hundred million...”
Emma noticed something was wrong with Celia. She seemed to be out of shape. Her eyes were deeply
sunken, more looked like...
"You aren't on drugs, are you?” Emma asked.
Celia denied it immediately.
Emma became more and more doubted. She got up and said, "If you get into drugs, I can send you
to a detoxification center, but you have to promise me to cut off all the contact with those people from
now on.”
Celia grabbed Emma’s hands. She slowly stood up and said, "No, I won't get off drugs.”
Emma was a little angry, and she shook away Celia's hands.
“Then don’t come to me!” Said Emma.
But she didn't succeed shaking her hands away. Celia still clutched Emma's sleeve, and her face was
no longer sad, but with a smile that Emma was familiar with.
“Don't refuse other’s request without any hesitation! I know exactly whose baby in your belly.”
Emma watched her face change in an instant. There was a big stone in her heart that sank slowly. The
sympathy that had just risen was completely extinguished by Celia.
