Chapter 33
Chapter 33
JENNIFER'S POV
Have you ever come across someone who has got hold of all the scattered pieces of your already shattered heart and now, he holds the power of bending you the way he wants?
Frustration, anger and chiefly helplessness courses through your veins on seeing your life going out of your control, still you stand there too shocked to even blink for a second.
This was my state right now, too helpless.
"26 thousand rupees in your account which is kept under your mamma's name. One flat in the western side of Bandra where you had booked a house on the second floor of the 5-storeyed flat in 2016, and whose down-payment is still left. You got your doctery-liscence almost cancelled a year back when you tried to move out of your present house. And last but not the least, you are desperately saving money in another bank account under your name to fulfill your bucket-list of traveling the world......" the devil spoke ever so slowly, taking all his time as he spat out the threat.
Maybe I had underestimated him, he knew way more about me than what I had expected!
Till now, still I had some faith on my fate that it won't show me it's back and kick me even closer to my end. But yhe moment he threatened to convert HOPE to fine dust and vanish probably kill all my grandparents from the oldage home, tge last ounce of faith vanished.
I knew that now, he had got all my loved ones, my career, my dreams I his closed fist. I was cursing the moment I saw him in the Den, as had I not gone there, then surely he would have never come across me, never.ever.
My life derailed the second the Devil had laid his eyes upon me. And, I as a matter of fact could not change this truth that I was at his complete mercy.
Whether.I.liked.it.or.not.
He had a great sense of authority as he spoke, I wordlessly without pondering onto the pros and cons of the threat imposed on me, I gave in. If marraige with the devil could keep my real family, my purpose in life alive, I shall step in.
I was agreeing to marry Dhanush Mahasena, the billionaire Business Tycoon who was rumored to be a kingpin in the Underworld. I was going to be his wife and as usual, my good-for-nothing subconscious mind started piling up rather scary questions instead of thinking of an escape plan right away!
What if the devil asks for his marital rights from our Jenny darling on the very first night of the marriage? Will she give in to his demands or fight him till her death? After marriage too... will her 'oldies' be still safe not to mention her sinking dream of helping others? Well... which Mafia king will allow his wife to work in some private hospital after marriage? And, what about the media? Our Jenny darling's daddy dearest shall be overwhelmed with the news! He shall personally go to the houses of his relatives and colleagues and offer them tonnes of sweets! It shall be so much fun to see her "happy" !!
I that was it! I was not marrying him without my set of conditions. If he agrees, I am in or he can kick himself out of the gates! I care the least, like really!
"But I have my set of conditions. You agree to them, and I am all yours." I whispered to him. I didn't even wanted to call him or even think of him by his name. He was a demon, evil who deserved only one name which the world had adorned him with :- Devil.
He barely nodded. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
I drew in a sharp breath and tried to ignore his penetrating gaze which was seemed to be trying to enter within my brain and rummage it with its own illegitimate terms.
Jutting my chin up, I folded my hands and tried my level best to shield my shaking legs behind my self- made shining armor of confidence.
"Firstly, you won't disclose this to anyone outside this area, noone in the outside world, no.damn.person." I stressed out on the last part as I didn't want father to get a hint of it. That man had not allowed casual relationships with guys, this was a marraige taking place with one of the devils. I didn't want to think about his possible reactions to the news. Moreover, I barely knew anything for whom he was working all these years. And looking at the security my prospective groom seemed to have, spying now by any of his men was out of question, hopefully.
He didn't respond in any way, except for the time-to-time normal blinking of his eyes. I considered them as a que to carry on.
"Secondly, I won't be stopped from attending any of my classes, hospital or visiting "Our Family", my friends or anyone I wish meeting." I spoke, thankfully, quite calmly than before.
He tilted his head a bit as if contemplating something, and a gush of breeze simultaneously brushed his perfect brown hair at the front, to his forehead. I got a wierd, irresistible urge of pushing them back.
Idiot you Jennifer! Limits! Do not cross them for God's sake!
I scolded myself internally.
Again, apart from the tilt in his angle of head, no response came. I continued.
"Thirdly, I want all my novels, series, study books and some dance related stuff back from my room. My lucky charms, Sweety, Champ, Charlie, and maybe Coco too... from my house." I said, still recollecting if I am missing any of my important things.
To this, I saw one of the bodyguards near to Dhanush ( come on now, I need to familiarize myself with that name!) look quizzically at me.
Oh! Certainly he didn't get the names I spoke.
I reasoned.
"Oh I think you did not get the names I spoke right now." I turned towards the bodyguard and spoke, he tensed a bit.
