Chapter 4 Is this Fate?
Finally, they are all done with the sumptuous dinner. Nel is ready to pay the bill, but the cashier said, “It's taken care of by Sir Ari”.
Nel exclaimed, “ Wow, that's great! Thank you, Ari, we do appreciate this unexpected dinner treat.” Ari just smiles and looking lovingly at Hannah, who's scrolling on her phone. She is texting her family that they arrived safe and are on their way to the cottage.
Hannah said, “Ari, we have to go to our cottage now and rest, it was been a very tiring day. Thanks for dinner, we can continue talking tomorrow.”
Ari asked, “Can I see you in the morning for breakfast? “
Hannah said, “One second, I need to ask about our itinerary tomorrow. Hey Chie, what's our plan tomorrow?”
Chie, “Rest in the morning, then we will visit a farm con hacienda in the afternoon.”
“I'll be there before you even open your eyes,” Ari jokingly teases Hannah.
Hannah teases back, “Maybe you can check our cottage first, so you'll know where I sleep, then you can stare at me like the old times hahaha.”
Ari said, “I thought you'd never ask.”
On the way to the cottage, the road is dimly lit but cemented. The entrance of the resort has a Lion statue, the cottages are well guarded and lighted. Ari and his friends are following Hannah's group van. Finally, they stayed in the crib for 5 days. The cottage is clean, equipped with cooking utensils, a coffee maker, refrigerator, oven, and bbq griller.
Couples occupy the bedroom, and the singles occupy the couches in the living room. Chie, Estoy, Ley, and Me will be in the living room couches. The management provides a foldable bed, but Hannah always goes to the couch. She loves sleeping on the couch.
“Are you okay sleeping on the couch?”, Ari asks. “Ever since we travel together, I always sleep on the couch, being single, it’s been my place.”
Hannah felt that Ari is not comfortable seeing her sleep on the couch. She assured him that she will be okay. It's always been their arrangement, singles sleep on the couch.
Chit took out beers and started distributing the cans to the guys, and started the karaoke party.
Hannah's things are in Susan and Icon's room. She excuses herself to Ari and his friends to start unpacking--when her phone rang. Her daughter was on the other end. As she is talking to her daughter, Menchie notices how Ari keeps on looking at Hannah while she is on the phone. Chie thought Ari seems to be a jealous guy.
Hannah told Ari that she will be in the bathroom and if they would like to leave before she's done, it’s okay to leave, don't wait up for me.
Hannah took her time taking a bath, drying her hair, reorganizing her clothes and other stuff. She is a very organized person, orderly and neat. She thought, Ari probably left already. She put on her jammies and lounging robe and out the door and is so surprised that Ari and his friends are still there drinking beer.
“Okay guys, time to go home. I need my bed, I am so tired,” Hannah said jokingly, announcing that they should leave now.
Ari doesn't want to leave yet, but they have to. He carelessly touches Hannah's hair and hugs her goodnight. He whispers, “Maybe I could get you and the singles a room in the hotel so you all can rest.”
She said, “It’s okay, we are used to this kind of arrangement. You should go home and rest too. Tomorrow's another day. We will be busy; you should go to work, we can manage here.”
Ari kisses her on the forehead and pats her shoulder. He asks Hannah, “Do you believe in fate?” Hannah is speechless, saying, “I believe in fate, but sometimes there are coincidences.” Ari just looked straight in her eyes, filled with love and smiles.
“Goodnight my love, sleep tight and I’ll see you in my dreams,” he said to her. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
“Drive safely and yes, I’ll see you in my dreams,” said Hannah.
At 11 o'clock, the light in the cottage are off, the sound of snoring fills the air, the noise of crickets and water splashing from the nearby swimming pool can be heard. The night is still young for some, but for Hannah and her group, it’s time to retire.
The next morning, the sound of footsteps and the opening of the door in the kitchen woke up Estoy. “Who are you?” Estoy demanded.
“Sir, we are here to cook your breakfast,” they said.
Estoy yawned and said, “Really! I didn't know that we have a chef now. Hey, Ley, is this part of our arrangement here, or do we need to pay extra.”
“I don't know, Estoy”, said Ley.
Estoy knocks on Nel's door so loud that all the single occupants woke up. They ask him, “Estoy what's wrong with you? it's 6 am! So early why are you knocking at Nel's room??”
“There are 2 chef's here to cook our breakfast”, he said. “I don't remember Nel mentioning that we hired a chef. Are we going to pay for them? It’s not included in my budget.”
Hannah said, “Be quiet Estoy, you’ll wake up everybody. I will get to the bottom of this, I don’t remember either that we required a chef, this might be expensive.” Hannah put her robe on and went to the kitchen.
