Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 81
Chapter 81
Chapter 81 Where Are the Shirts You Bought for Me? Lily tugged on Clarissa’s hand to calm the latter
down.
Madelynn noticed this. She quickly said to Clarissa, “That’s decided, then. Where should I have the
shirts delivered to?”
“Hmm… If you have them delivered to the office, it’ll be too easy to bump into him. He’s going to get
mad again if he finds out that I didn’t get him any shirts. Would it be okay for you to send them to my
dorin tonight after work?” Clarissa said. “Alright, then.” Madelynn left after that.
“How stupid do you have to be to fall for her tricks every time?” Lily demanded, exasperated.” You
completely ignored me when I pinched your hand. I won’t take you in if President Lawrence kicks you
out again!”
“I’m not that dumb. Do you really think I can’t see through her tricks? Come on, let’s go. Al least I won’t
have to spend money on any shirts tonight.” Clarissa was happy, and it showed.
Lily was confused. She didn’t know what Clarissa was thinking. That night, Clarissa had a good night’s
rest. Nobody was there to disturb her, and she didn’t need to get up early the next day. She slept for
ten whole hours, and felt refreshed and spirited when she went to work the next day.
She had only been working for a while when she heard someone knock on her desk
Clarissa looked up to see Damien standing there.
She shot to her feet reflexively. “President Lawrence.”
This was Damien’s first time coming to the finance department,
Everyone in the department selt inexplicably nervous. Though they all looked like they were focused on
their work, they were curious to know why Damien was here. They tried their best to eavesdrop on
Clarissa and Damien’s conversation. “Where are the shirts you bought for me?” Damien looked at NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
Clarissa with a slight frown.
Clarissa was confused. ‘It’s not like I’m not going back. Does he need to come to my office to ask me
for some shirts?’ She said, “I spent hours at New East Mall last night trying to pick something out, but I
didn’t find anything that suited you. I’ll go again tonight.” “Don’t try to pull anything funny.” Damien’s
frown deepened. “What could I possibly do? I have to find you something suitable, don’t i?” Clarissa
tried to defend herself.
“So, you’re not going to come home until you find something?” “I suppose so. The villa’s so far away
from New East Mall, after all.” Clarissa was a little resentful.
“You seem to be a lot more rejuvenated. Do you prefer staying at the dormitory instead of at home?”
Damien asked.
Clarissa felt like something was amiss hure What did he mean by “rejuvenated”?
She gave him once auft. He was wearing a black shirt, and it showed off his loned body le Inokat so
handsome and duarming,
Hurry up! After that, Dainien left
karlier, he’d glazed at Clarissa’s desk and found a book on her desk – “An Accountant’s Journey”
She never brought thk book home anymore she would only read it sneakily at work when she had
sunne free time
Everyone else in the office didn’t understand why Damien had shown up Had he come to urge class to
quickly buy him his shirts, or was he actually telling her to move back home? Either way. The fact that
he had come to the finance department showed how odd the whole situation was
They quickly gave Clarissa recommendations for shirts, but she merely thanked them without doing
anything She already lud a plan. That evening, she didn’t go home again She even took the time to
send Damien a WhatsApp messaye
Clarissa: (Hubby, I’m going to continue picking something out for you tonight. ) Damien: (Should I thank
you for being so thoughtful?)
He sounded rather sarcastic.
He originally planned on only allowing her to spend one night at the domm.
It seemed things were getting out of hand now in a way, he had been breeding calamity for the future
Clarissa merely replied with a smiley face emoticon.
Al cight in the evening, Madelynn’s shirts were delivered. She had sent someone to drop them off
instead of coming personally.
There were three of them; one cach in black, navy, and gray. These were all colors Damien normally
wore. It looked like she knew him well,
Clarissa and Lily scrutinized the shirts and found that there were two alphabets sewn on the tags at the
back-DL These were probably Damien’s initials. “Is there a tailor nearby?” Clarissa asked.
“There’s one right behind our dormitory, Haye’s Suits. It’s an old establishment that’s been around for
decades,” Lily answered. “What are you up to now?”
“Come on “Clarissa grabbed the three shirts and dragged Lily out of the dorm.
They went to Haye’s Suits, where she asked the tailor to make her three shirts that were identical to the
ones Madelynn had given to her. She didn’t want to have D.L. sewn on the tags, though
The tailor told her that it would take ten days, and that the material probably wouldn’t be exactly the
same. He could only make them look identical. “It’s fine as long as they look the same.”
After dropping the shirts off, Madelynn sent Damien a WhatsApp message. Madelynn: (Damien, I had
three shirts tailor-made for you when I was abroad before. I told Clarissa about this when I ran into her
while she was looking for some shirts for you. I gave her the shirts so she didn’t need to buy new ones.
She was quite happy that she could save some money.)
Damien almost blew his top when he read her message.
At the same time, he received a WhatsApp message from Clarissa saying that she was going to spend
another ten days at the dorm.
He suppressed his rage, and agreed to it.
He wanted to see just what Clarissa was up to.
Over the next ten days, Clarissa felt like she was in paradise. Every day, she and Lily would go out for
delicious food and binge on dramas at night. She even managed to finish reading “An Accountant’s
Journey”. She had to admit, Joseph really knew what he was talking about. ‘ It was also during these
ten days that recruitment for the audit department started. Clarissa would occasionally see
professionally dressed elites heading to the top floor for their interviews, and this would dampen her
mood. It reminded her of her unfulfilled dream of becoming a certified public accountant.
