Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 91
Chapter 91
Chapter 91 Joseph’s Mistakes
Joseph headed upstairs.
“What are you doing here?” Luke was surprised to see Joseph. “Did you run into Clarissa and
Damien?”
“Yeah.” Joseph was pale. They looked like a loving couple, not two people in a contractual marriage.
Though Clarissa seemed to be a little resistant when Damien kissed her, it didn’t really mean anything.
“Oh, come on! It’s obvious how well they get along, so stop dreaming of breaking them up,” Emily said
bitterly. She had deliberately pushed for Damien to come, and obviously, she knew that Joseph was
coming. After all, she was the one who’d texted him. It was highly probable that they would bump into
each other.
She wanted Joseph to know that there was no use in him salivating after Clarissa.
“Mr. Moore, don’t listen to her. When Damien came upstairs just now, he felt that Clarissa coming back
here to get her clothes was such an embarrassment for a rich person like himself that he raged at her.
She refused to listen to him, so he picked her up and left. He even said be was going to teach her a
lesson at home. Go check on her!” Luke said hurriedly.
Joseph immediately saw red. “What did you say?!”
He turned and left without waiting for a reply “Joseph, Joseph!” Emily tried to stop Joseph, but he was
too fast for her. She was still wrapped up in a towel, and didn’t dare to step out of the apartment.
“Look at what you’ve done!” she screamed at Luke.
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’ve done. We’re no better than each other. I wanted Joseph to chase
after her! Did he even flinch at the sight of you sleeping with me? No! All he can think of is my sister, soAll rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
just forget about him,” Luke said roguishly. Emily was going to blow her top. She adored Joseph, but
the latter told her that he had feelings for someone else, and that she’d be better off giving up.
However, Emily refused and told Joseph that if he didn’t agree to be with her, she would sleep with
Luke. She had purposely texted Joseph and told him to come to the apartment so he could watch the
show, but she hadn’t expected Clarissa to return as well. That was why she pushed for Damien to
come.
Damien and Clarissa reached home some time later.
Damien carried her straight to the bathroom upstairs. On his way up, he asked Mrs. Faber to bring
them a cold compress.
He put Clarissa down on a stool, got a pail of water, and rolled his sleeves up. After that, he squatted
down and started washing her feet.
Clarissa instinctively shied away from him. She was not used to the mighty President Lawrence
personally washing her feet. “Stop moving.” He grabbed her feet firmly.
Clarissa’s hands and feet were always cold during fall and winter. The warmth from Damien’s hands
and the water seemed to spread all overlier, and it felt extremely comfortable. She felt like she’d
traveled back in time to when her father would washi lucrfect for her. It had been a long time since she
had last experienced such warmth.
Damien soon massaged her swollen ankle.
“Docs it feel good?” He looked up at her.
The instant their cyes met, Clarissa felt something spark between them.
She stared into his eyes, feeling like he was a mixture of hier father and husband. She even had the
urge to kiss him.
“Why do you keep staring at my eyes?” Damien noticed that she liked looking into his eyes. Clarissa
was pulled out of her reverie. “You have nice eyes.’ It was obvious that this put him in a good mood. He
asked again, “Does it feel good?” She nodded, unable to stop a smile from curving her lips. “Yeah.”
Damien continued to wash her feet, and the warmth went straight to her heart. The bathroom was
silent, save for the sound of water. Time seemed to stop at this moment.
The silence was broken by the sound of someone causing a ruckus downstairs. Mrs. Faber seemed to
be stopping someone, while a man’s voice rang out, saying, “What right does lie have to hit Clarissa?”
This was followed by someone storming upstairs. The door to Damien’s room swung open.
Damien frowned. He seemed to be upset.
Clarissa could already tell that Joseph was the cause of the noise, but she didn’t know what had
happened
Damien washed his hands and dried them before walking out.
“Where’s Clarissa? What have you done to her?!” Joseph demanded. Mrs. Faber had gone into the
bathroom to apply the cold compress on Clarissa’s ankle, so she couldn’t move.
“So, you’ve served yourself up on a silver platter before I could track you down.” Damien’s tone was
sarcastic..
Joseph didn’t say anything.
“I don’t think I need an outsider to tell me what to do with my wife,” Damien continued calmly. “Hasn’t
anyone ever told you about the consequences of trespassing, Mr. Moore?”
“What have you done to Clarissa? Where is she?!” Joseph’s eyes darted around the room.
Clarissa was afraid they’d get into a fight, so she said to Mrs. Faber, “Mrs. Faber, hurry up, please.”
“I’m washing my wife’s feet. Are you interested in watching something so intimate?” Damien said
calmly. He sat down on the sofa, as if Joseph was nothing but an unimportant subordinate.
Joseph was taken aback
“Mr. Moore, you’re pretty accomplished at seducing a married woman. You tricked her into visiting your
office and filling up a job application, and you got someone to interview her during her office hours.”
Damien listed down the things Joseph had done. “You’ve got guts, liying to steal my woman.”
Now, Joseph was stunned. How had Damien known about all of this? Had Clarissa told him? Were
they so close?
Clarissa was stunned as well. How had Damien found out about these things? Why did it seem like he
had witnessed them with his own eyes? What else was there that he didn’t know?
