Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 59

As Ethan was leaving, he cast a meaningful glance at Dominick.

Dominick had already anticipated the challenges ahead, but he didn’t expect Jenna to be so restless so soon.

With Ethan gone, Lola spent every day by Dominick’s side.

This left Dominick with no time to visit the Jaron Group.

He had to wait until Lola fell asleep to communicate with Henry about the company matters.

Three days passed in this way, and Lola finally couldn’t hold back any longer.

That evening, she didn’t come down to cling to Dominick during dinner, which he found odd,

“Where is she?”

Heather’s face was a mix of emotions. “She said she wasn’t feeling well today and skipped lunch. I can’t tell if she’s being honest or if she’s up to something.”

Dominick furrowed his brow slightly. “Don’t bother with her. Let’s eat first.”

Heather shook her head. “No, you should really check on her. You know she’s not feeling well, and it’s not right to just leave her be.

“She’s been sticking close to you these last few days, her intentions are pretty obvious. I understand it’s tough for you.”

Heather sighed softly. “I’m also worried about Lola. That’s why I’ve been looking into how to hypnotize recently.

“But I’m afraid it might backfire and reveal that we already know she’s not Ms. Lewis.”

Dominick was momentarily stunned. “Is that even possible? If we can hypnotize her, might we find out where Lola really is?”

Dominick had been waiting aimlessly, and this was a glimmer of hope.

“Hmm… There is possible, I read about it in a book. But it’s very risky. I’ve never used this method before.”

Dominick’s expression grew serious. After a moment of contemplation, as if he’d made a decision, he said, “Leave it to me.”

Heather still seemed worried and asked, “Are you sure about this? I’m afraid she might realize what’s going on. Not only might we fail to get Ms. Lewis‘ whereabouts, it might even put her in danger.”

Dominick had already made up his mind. His hand, resting on the table, clenched into a fist, the veins on the back of his hand standing out starkly.

“Don’t worry,” he said firmly.

Half an hour later, Dominick appeared in Lola’s room with a cup of water.

“Not feeling well?” he asked.

At the sound of Dominick’s voice, Lola reacted immediately, clearly not asleep.

Propping herself up and holding her forehead, she spoke in a faint voice. “You’re back… I’m really not feeling well today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

In Dominick’s cold eyes, Lola’s pretense seemed blatantly false. Her pretense was too clumsy, too obvious.

“Theard about that,” he remarked.

He sat at the edge of the bed, gently caressing Lola’s face. “You do look a bit pale.

“My bad. I didn’t take good care of you these past few days.”

His warm palm brushed against Lola’s face, nearly bewitching her.

She couldn’t help but wonder if Dominick was suddenly being so intimate because this approach was working.

Indeed, she knew Dominick still had a soft spot for Lola.

“Hey, it’s okay. Don’t blame yourself. It’s on me for not being stronger,” Lola said, wrapping her arms around Dominick’s waist.

“Dom, would you stay with me tonight? I’m really not feeling great,” Lola coaxed, subtly advancing her plan.

Dominick found this closeness off–putting, yet he forcefully masked his discomfort.

“Of course, I can stay. I’ll do whatever you need.”

It took all of Dominick’s effort to speak these words calmly.

He didn’t see the slight curve of Lola’s lips, her eyes brimming with triumph.

It seemed too easy to succeed, making Lola wonder if Dominick was not as tough to deal with as she had imagined.

“Here, drink something first. You haven’t eaten all day, right?” Drink this, then come down with me for a meal before we sleep.

Lola reluctantly moved away from Dominick’s embrace. “Alright.”

She took the water cup from Dominick’s hand, examining it. Her eyes shifted subtly before placing the cup back on the table.

“I’m not thirsty. Let’s just go eat, shall we?”

Dominick paused. Jenna was not one to let her guard down easily. She seemed to have completely trusted him, but she was still

cautious.

“No worries. If you don’t want to drink, then let’s go eat. It’s just a shame that my kind gesture is wasted.”

Lola slightly bit her lower lip. Dominick had already put it that way. Refusing to drink seemed disrespectful, but it was just a cup of water. He didn’t need to make such a fuss.

‘Is there something wrong with the water?‘ she thought.

“You know what, I’m not really in the mood for water right now. Let’s save it for later and eat first. I’m starving”

Lola got out of bed and clung to Dominick’s arm. “Come on, let’s go down for some juice.”

Dominick remained motionless, his eyes gradually hardening as he looked at Lola. “Are you sure you can still walk?”

Lola paused, startled by his gaze.

“What… What do you mean?”

Dominick narrowed his eyes, removing her hand from his arm inch by inch.

“Don’t you feel tired?” he asked without looking at Lola, his tone heavy.

Lola, initially baffled, paused before her vision started to blur. She slumped onto the bed, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, staring at Dominick.

“What’s happening to me? Why do I suddenly feel so weak?

“Did you do something to me? What is going on?” Lola’s gaze instinctively shifted to the glass of water on the table.

She hadn’t even sipped it, yet dizziness and disorientation overwhelmed her. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Dominick’s face remained expressionless, his eyes coldly fixed on her.

Panic set in Lola’s heart as she noticed Dominick’s look….

“You…”

She couldn’t even say anything more before everything went black, and she fainted.

‘Humph, you think you can play games with me?”

Of course, Dominick wasn’t foolish enough to tamper with the water directly. He glanced at his palm, noting the faint residue of powder.

He had already applied the drug to her face when he touched it!

“Mom, come in.”

Hearing Dominick’s voice, Heather entered. She had waited outside for quite some time.

“Is she completely unconscious now?”

Dominick gave a slight nod. “Yes, she’s completely knocked out. The drug was from Henry, works like a charm.”

Heather observed Lola, who was now unconscious and pulled out a crystal bracelet and a pocket watch used for hypnosis.

She positioned Lola’s body properly, then closed her eyes, slowly rotating the bracelet in her hand. Only when she had shut out her surroundings and calmed her mind did she bring out the pocket watch.

“Now, you can only hear my voice. You’re asleep, but in your dream,
