My dear lawyer

Chapter487 Marry me

Marry me

“Please come along with us to the police station, Vanessa and Angie.”

After Alan was arrested, Vanessa and Angie were also arrested for several cases.

Vanessa’s family had some power in the locality and were running for the personal relations to set them

free. However, their target was just Vanessa and Angie.

As for Alan, it was none of their business!

Apart from the disturbance in Alan’s family, William found Vivian took a frosty attitude towards him.

At first, he thought it maybe because she was not convenient to talk with him.

Now she has been able to say a little bit, however, she left all of the words to Roe, and gave as little as

possible attention to the other people.

When facing him, she was too mean to give him even a word.

William was annoyed by this, but he didn't show anything because she was a patient and might had

been frightened by the fire.

Today, Vivian was discharged from hospital, and William brought her home.

They were still living in the manor. Since Daniel was still hiding in somewhere, William was worried that

he would come back at any time.

What was more, he hadn't figured out the deep reason. Was Daniel doing that just to make Alan and

him worried?

No, there must be some reason he didn't find out!

"I will do it." William came in, while Vivian was trying to rub ointment to her shoulder blade.

There were several burns on her body, though not serious, but the scars looked ugly.

She cared about her appearance.

Vivian's finger stopped and William had already taken the ointment away.

She blinked and didn't take it seriously.

Without refusing and chattering, William was not used to it.

When William looked over, he saw Vivian expose her shoulder to him.

William sat behind, ordered some ointment, and applied gently as if she was a treasure to him.

But there was still a reddish color on her snow-white skin, which made he feel distressed.

After applying the medicine, William hugged her waist from behind and placed his head on the other

shoulder, "Vivian, marry me. Let's get married."

She went blank for a moment and made no movement.

After a while, she asked hoarsely, "Why..."

William packed her ear and said, "Of course because of love, I love you..."

Was it hard to speak out? Of course yes, for a man like William.

For four years, he got used to her around him. He thought it was just a habit.

But then a series of accidents told him that he had her in mind.

After Angie's provocation, although he had negative impressions about her, he never thought of letting

her go.

Then he knew the existence of Roe and her strength, and he couldn't control himself anymore.

He could be angry about her cold shoulder and her relationship with John. He could be tough and

never say something like “I love you”, but that was his confidence of having everything under his strong

control.

He believed they would be together. However, he was not sure right now.

He couldn’t afford to wait after two accidents in a succession.

He didn't want to undergo the fear of seeing her injured in front of him a third time.

Love wasn’t a forbidden word for him. Once he spoke out "I love you", she couldn’t leave him forever!

She would be stuck on this love all her life!

Vivian’s mouth twitched with a not-so-happy smile.

"Really?" She murmured.

If William had said "I love you" last time, maybe she would have say yes on impulse.

But this time, all she felt was woe.

William sensed something wrong with her mood. He loosened his arms a little bit and stared at her,

"Don't you believe me?"

There was something ironic in his voice.

He managed to say love, but she didn’t believe in him!

"Should I?" Vivian chuckled, and the voice from her throat was not soft, like a curse, "Because Alan has

scandals, you can't marry Angie, so you just give me a "wife" title. Let me tolerate her at the cost of this NôvelDrama.Org © content.

title?"

This was the only reason she can imagine for his propose.

Alan had been removed from his post and almost had been put into prison. How could a family like

William's allow him to marry a daughter of a criminal with political scandal?

So he thought she was vulnerable. She had no money, no power, and was also Roe's mother. So he

married her?

Vivian had a head canon at the moment.

William just wanted to dive into her brain and figured out what she was thinking about.

"Vivian, are you happy when I am angry?" William asked through clenched teeth.

Vivian just turned around and didn’t see him.

William turned her around and gazed at her. "I will say for the last time, this propose is not because of

anything else, it's just because you're Vivian. Do you understand?"

Vivian's mouth rose slightly and did want to argue with him.

William pursed his lips and restrained what he wanted to say. He was very angry.

From her eyes, he had no doubt that she did hear what William said, but she didn’t take it.

William angrily let Vivian go in order to prevent him from saying something without thinking carefully.

William got up, took a few breaths and walked outside.

The next day, Angie, which should have appeared in the prison, was released.

Vivian took Roe to the clinic behind their home for the physical check-up. On the way, she took a walk

with Roe. There was a jujube tree in the garden behind the gate.

The jujubes on the tree were red, and the leaves looked like small lanterns hanging high, attractive.

Roe was fond of food, and Selina, who liked to join in the fun, was also there. Vivian brought them

here.

"Roe, this is the biggest one. Here you are!" Selina wiped it with tissue paper, and put it in Roe's

mouth.

"Auntie, it's dirty," Roe said.

"You brat, dislike it? We must eat a peck of dirt before we die. Have you ever heard it?" Selina threw

the jujube into her mouth and rolled her eyes at the little Roe.

Vivian patted his forehead, "Are you two three years old?"

Selina responded with the smile like a three-year-old child, Roe didn’t give up and made a four with his

fingers.

The jujube tree was a bit high, and jujubes below were actually enough to eat, but Selina got excited

and popped up with the idea to climb up the tress.

"Be careful with the caterpillars. There are a lot of them in this season." Vivian spoke with concern.

"Okay, I can't deal with small caterpillars?" Selina, with a smile, climbed to a very high branch.

She felt easy to climb the tree with flat shoes today.

After throwing down a jujube, Selina suddenly gestured to Vivian and Roe.

Vivian stopped talking and gave her a strange look.

Roe didn't know, so he stared at Selina, who's standing in a strange position.
