Chapter 24
Blake.
I had called in the two maids that were assigned to clean my room and made them take off their clothes, hoping to forget about Ciara.
They were stunning, with perky breasts, full hips and long legs. They could have easily been models, with perfect figures, but my mind kept flashing back to seeing Ciara naked and pure.
I brushed away my thoughts, pulling one of the maids closer as I placed my lips on hers. It didn't feel the same, but it was better than nothing. Caressing the ass of the other, I moved my hand up to her breast, and a gasp escaped from her throat as I twirled my finger around her nipple.
We continued for a few more seconds before she broke off the kiss and began to undo the buttons of my shirt while the other one undid my belt, pulling down my trousers as she proceeded to give me a blow job.
My cock hardened the moment she took it in her mouth, diving deep and sucking it fully as the other maid gently played around with my nipples, sucking them and doing unimaginable things to me.
"Fuck, Ciara," I groaned out loud, before realizing the mistake I had made.
Shit! This wasn't working, I reckoned, and suddenly, nothing the maids did to satisfy me worked, and like that, my erection went limp, leaving me disappointed and frustrated.
I pushed them both away, grabbing a vase which I threw out the window frustratedly.
Sex was supposed to be fun, a mere act of escape for me; but Ciara just had to ruin everything. Had I been too hard on her? Was that why my conscience was pricking me? Was that why I felt so guilty that I couldn't concentrate on anything? "Prince Blake, we're so sorry," the maids chorused at once, appearing scared and terrified, afraid that it was their fault that they had failed to please me.
"It's not your fault. You may leave," I said, dismissively, putting on my clothes.
"You want us to leave?" they asked.
"Get out!" I commanded in a harsh tone.
"The Alpha King is here," a loud voice came from outside, startling me.
Father was here? What could he possibly want?
The maids quickly put on their clothes and hurriedly left the room with their heads bowed, muttering their greetings to the Alpha before scurrying off.
Alpha King Rowland walked into my bedroom only then, shaking his head at me disappointedly.
"Greetings, father," I said, avoiding his stern gaze.
"Do you really have to behave this way? I raised you better than this!" he snapped angrily.
"You didn't raise me. The nannies you employed did," I retorted.

He scoffed. "Well, sorry for not abandoning my kingdom to attend to trivial matters like a child crying or being unnecessarily rebellious," he said sarcastically.
"You were there for Alden though... every single fucking time!" I bashed him.
"I tried to be there for you, but you didn't let me. You hated me and openly said that every time I tried to show you affection, and that's why I withdrew. You kept blaming me for something that was totally not my fault. You and I know that she - your mother, deserved to be beheaded but I spared her life for your sake, and what did I get in return? Sheer ungratefulness and misdirected anger!" he thundered.
He was right, but I was too deep in my feelings to acknowledge that. "Fine. So, what now? What do you want in the room of someone who has been nothing but ungrateful to you and whose mother committed adultery?" I fired at him.
"I wanted to let you know that henceforth, you shall not sleep around with servants in this palace. I refuse to permit it! I understand that you might be upset at Ciara, but doing stuff like this to hurt her will only hurt you..." I cut in. "I'm not trying to hurt her, I simply want to forget her!"
"Either way, it will end badly for you in the long run," he said.
"Why do you care? The worst thing that will happen is that she rejects me and wouldn't that be good for you? At least then, your favorite son, Alden, would have a bigger shot of claiming her and the throne," I accused. He didn't say anything for a while, and after what seemed like ages, he walked closer to me and stopped just right in front of me.
"Listen, I do not know what you think of me and I do not care, but I do love all my sons and I wish them the best. It is true that I am quite biased when it comes to Alden, but that's only because he's the one who showers me with more affection and care. It doesn't mean I love you any less. You're my son, Blake, and I saw what you had going on with Ciara. I'm an advocate for true love, so I do not want you to lose what you already had in your relationship with Ciara," my father advised.
I softened up. "I think you're wrong. Everything that happened, happened because of the mate bond," I said.
He laughed. "Oh, dear Blake, no mate bond is strong enough to make you take an arrow for a girl. I may not have been too present in your life, but I do know that much about you."Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
I heaved a sigh. "So, what should I do? Talk to her? Would she even want to speak to me when I made her cry?" I asked, feeling helpless.
"You wouldn't know until you try speaking to her first," he said. "I'll take my leave now," he added and turned around to leave.
"Thanks, father," I said, after much contemplation.
He didn't turn back around, but he nodded his head and walked out of the room in his usual majestic manner.
I was seriously considering what he was saying to me and wondering if I should go and make the first move. Opening up to her once again was going to be hard, but I presumed it was worth a shot since no one did it for me like her. Just then, a whiff of her scent wafted through the air and I heard the sound of her giggling. I ran to the window and what I saw made my heart sink. She was riding a horse and giggling excitedly with Liam by her side.
He was so close to her and that made my heart boil with rage. I had said I never wanted to have anything to do with her again, but now, I regretted it, and seeing her with Liam made me wonder if I was too late and had lost her forever.
