Chapter 465
Nathan said, "Ninety-one percent. How does that sound?"
He heard the sound of Cameron crushing a plastic cup on the other end.
"Mr. Morris is enjoying his steak. Maybe he could spare us a sip of the soup?"
Nathan replied, "If Mr. Dawson doesn't agree, we should just go ahead with the acquisition plan."
With that, Nathan decisively ended the call. Cameron was left in a daze, feeling that Mr. Morris's voice was oddly familiar.
The next morning, Nathan woke up without an alarm. When he got up, he noticed Nathalie had already ditched her simple, farm-girl attire. She'd slipped into fresh and elegant emerald green dress. Her curly hair fell casually around her shoulders, adorned with a flower pin, and her bangs were stylishly trimmed. She looked pure, beautiful, and gracefully poised.
"Why are you all dressed up today?" Nathan asked, walking over, unable to take his eyes off her.
Nathalie flashed him a charming smile. "Now that I'm back in the city, it's time to kickstart my career again."
Nathan said, "Sis, you're not in the best health. You don't have to push yourself so hard. I can take care of you forever."
Nathalie glanced back at him. "Take care of me? That's expensive. I doubt you could afford it."
Nathan chuckled. "Then I'll just work harder and earn more for you."
Nathalie tugged on his tie, saying, "I want lots of money, and even more love."
Without warning, Nathan pulled her into his arms with a confident swagger. "That's perfect. I've got a lifetime's worth of love and money saved up, just waiting for a place to spend it. So, do you want it?"
Blushing and feeling her heart race, Nathalie pushed him away and dashed off. "I... I have a meeting with friends. I should get going."
Watching her rosy cheeks, Nathan grinned smugly. "Is your skin really that thin?"
Nathan caught up to her. "Nathalie, let me drive you."
Nathalie didn't have a car, so she took Nathan up on his offer for a ride. "Alright."
Soon, Dominick drove the car out of the garage. Nathalie wordlessly opened the back door and slid in. Seeing the Ford in the front

passenger seat, Nathalie was taken aback. That meant Nathan would have to sit in the back with her?
Just as she realized this, the car window rolled down, and Nathan climbed in. The confined space suddenly felt even tighter. Nathalie scooted over, and Nathan sidled close Then, without warning, he grabbed her hand, his long fingers insistently intertwining with hers, holding them firmly together.
"Where to?" he asked softly.
Nathalie looked at him with a mix of exasperation and affection, her eyes drifting to their clasped hands. She silently conveyed that this wasn't appropriate.
Nathan pretended not to notice and smiled. "I'm heading to Dawson International. Would you come with me? I want you to see how he falls, step by step, into the abyss."
In the past, Nathalie would have relished the thought of Cameron's downfall. But now, she felt at peace.
She replied lightly, "What happens to him, I don't care to know anymore."
Nathan was taken aback but overjoyed. A smile crept up his handsome face.
"That's great." He was bursting with joy inside.
He had finally reached the day Nathalie let go of Cameron
completely. Still, curiosity gnawed at
him-Nathalie had held onto her
grudge for a long time. What made
her suddenly decide to let it go?
"Why did you suddenly let go of him?" he couldn't help but ask.
Nathalie lowered her head. "Maybe someone sweetened the bitterness he left behind with a piece of candy." "Who could that be?" Nathan asked, feigning ignorance.noveldrama
His voice was dripping with sweetness.
Nathalie gave him a shy smile. Nathan then lifted their entwined hands and gently kissed the back of her hand.
