Chapter 97

Rose’s POV

y arms. After a night

The sun cast a warm glow over the hospital room as we prepared to head home to our own pack, baby Tommy nestled safely in my filled with worry and uncertainty, it was a relief to hear Doctor Carter give us the allclear for travel

As I gently rocked Tommy in my arms, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming gratitude for the care and support we had received from

everyone.

“Are you ready to go home, little one?” I murmured, pressing a soft kiss to Tommy’s forehead. His tiny fingers curled around mine, his blue eyes with curiosity as he gazed back up at me. It was hard to believe that just a day ago, he had entered the world in such a dramatic fashion…

Ashton stood by my side, a proud smile on his face as he watched us with adoring eyes. “We owe a lot to this pack after this,” he said aloud, his voice filled with sincerity as he turned to address the Alpha who had welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us Dean. We’re truly grateful for your hospitality and kindness.” He states, as the kind man nods and shakes his hand.

The Alpha nodded, his expression one of warmth and understanding. “It was our pleasure to assist you with something like this Ashton – a baby is a miracle let alone the baby of a strong Alphat he replied, his voice resonating with authority and compassion. “You and your family are always welcome here, should you ever need our help again.”

With a heartfelt thank you, we gathered our belongings and made our way out of the hospital, Tommy cradled safely in my arms as I feared any sense of danger coming to him.

The fresh air felt invigorating as we stepped outside, the sun shining down on us with renewed warmth and promise.

As we made our way to the car, I couldn’t shake the feeling of gratitude that filled my heart. Despite the unexpected detour, we had been surrounded by love and support every step of the way, and I knew that we were truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and allies.

With a sense of anticipation and excitement, we climbed into the car and began the journey towards the train once again – this time to complete our journey and to arrive home to our own pack.

As we drove, I couldn’t help but steal glances at Tommy, marveling at the miracle of his existence and the love that surrounded us – feeling as though the moment hadn’t fully sunk in yet.

The gentle hum of the car engine filled the air as we drove, the rhythmic motion lulling Tommy into a peaceful slumber. I watched him sleep, his chest rising and falling with each steady breath, a sense of wonder washing over me at the sight of our precious son

“He’s so ti

so tiny,” I whispered, my voice filled with awe and love as I brushed a soft finger against his cheek. Ashton glanced over at me, a soft smile playing on his lips as he reached out to gently squeeze my hand.

“He really is,” he agreed, his voice tinged with pride and adoration. “I still can’t believe he’s finally here, and that we get to take him home with us finally.” I joke, as the others laugh.

“Arriving in true shock fashion – I think we have a handful on our hands already!” Ashton laughs, as we all chuckle.

I couldn’t help but feel excited to get home to live our lives with him….

The thought brought a swell of emotion to my chest, and I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes. It had been a long and challenging journey to get

to this moment, but now, as we drove towards our own pack, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming joy and gratitude.

As we heated the train station, I couldn’t shake the feeling of anticipation that filled the air, We were finally going home, and I couldn’t wait to introduce Tommy to the rest of our pack, to show him the love and warmth of his new family.

“We’re almost there,” Ashton murmured, his voice filled with excitement as he pulled into the station parking lot. “Are you ready to head home, little man?” he directed his gaze towards Tommy, who stirred slightly in his sleep, his tiny features scrunched up in a peaceful expression.

I smiled at the sight, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment settle over me. “I think he’s more than ready,” I replied, my voice soft with affection as 1 gently adjusted Tommy’s blanket.

With a sense of anticipation, we gathered our belongings and made our way towards the train platform, the bustling energy of the station filling the air around us. I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement as we boarded the train, knowing that we were finally on our way home.

As we settled udo our seats, I felt Ashtons hand find mine, his touch a comforting anchor amidst the chaos of the crowded train car. I leaned into him, feeling the weight of exhaustion begin to settle over me as I closed my eyes, savoring the warmth and safety of our little family.

You don’t want to let him go do you?” Ashton smirks, as I blush knowing that he was right.

“Sorry, do you want to hold him? I’ve had him a lot!” I admit, feeling selfish as though I had been hogging our son already and it had already been one day!

As the train pulled away from the station, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace wash over me seeing the outside world begin to move.

“Yeah give him here for a sec! I’ll admit that I’m jealous!” Ashton states with a laugh, reaching to gently take Tommy from my arms as I beam at his eagerness to steal a cuddle.

He was officially a father… and I was a mother

It didn’t feel real!

We had faced countless challenges and obstacles to get to this moment, but now, as we journeyed home with our precious son cradled safely in our arms, I knew that everything was going to be alright.

Ashton would stop at nothing to keep all of us safe, happy and healthy.
