Chapter 228 Which Way To Go?
The Misfits have come to a crossroads in their quest to save a City that are not even that of their own.
Which way we should proceed is very unclear at the present moment. So it is with somewhat confusion that we are all taking seat in the kitchen. Our focus here is mainly on Dean that will be the unfortunate one that shall need to decide where we go from here. To say that the man does not look stressed would be a complete lie.
I have never in all my time that I have known him seen such pressure building in his uncertain eyes. Though one should not bear such a big burdon on oneself. So I only but go stand next to him and place a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
“My friend, we have three choice that we need to make here.” With that I call for the attention of the rest of the group, “I personally do not really care what happens in this City. I am here for Lilith and that is my only concern.” And just as I say those very words, I have Sam that wishes to object yet I only but continue, “But that part of me that still feels human cannot sit by and let anything happen to these innocent people because of something that one vicious man has planted together.”
Then from next to me I have Dean that speaks, “Planted, that is such a nice word for a fucking mess. What possessed the Vampire to create such a mumbled up creation of monsters.” And as he says this, he turns to me with his eyebrow slightly raised, “You know the man. What did he try, and god, don’t let me even ask, what else is out there?”
I cannot help but chuckle at him much to the annoyance of Sam and our very own Vampire Hunter that seems completely drained. But pushing their dissatisfaction aside, I look at Dean again, “Well, whatever else is waiting out there, we need to make a decision to where we will be going from here.”
“Now,” Dean starts. “I do not see your Angel as a threat, unlike…” He glances into the direction of a non-the-wizer Cass, “Unlike the one that we have.”
But if he thought that Cass did not catch onto his remark, he is sadly mistaken as Cass steps a few theaterning steps closer, “When last did you have a Angel blade up…”
“Yes,” I immediately step between them, “I do not think that you should finish that sentence at this present moment.” Looking back at Dean that seems as if he could explode at any moment now.
Then after careful consideration, Sam looks over to his brother, “I think we should go for the Were-Vamps first. They are the strongest.”NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
“Yes,” Dean agrees, “But they will wear us out so that we will not be able to take the Bloodlusters out.”
“Fair,” Sam agrees, “But don’t you think that we should split up?”
“No!” My very own voice echoes to the corners of the room as I step in between the two brothers, “We do this together of we do nothing at all. I am not risking someone’s life if I cannot protect it. Now I agree with Dean, we take the Bloodlusters first as they shall be much easier and let us assume that we have already made a dent in their numbers.”
With that everybody among the group nod their head, but it is not something that they are freely nodding to. So perhaps I should sate, “If anyone feel that they cannot take this one, then please stay here and make sure to lock yourself behind a secure door.”
But this only causes a shake of the head from every one that is present in the kitchen.
“So,” I speak as I start to make my way to the door. “Let us go get us some Bloodlusters.”
And in less than two minutes we find ourselves armed and getting into our ride. I watch Dean as he smiles a wicked smile and slams his foot down onto the pedal driving it into the floor. It sends the Impala screeching out of the driveway in less than two seconds to a speed of sixty down the road.
As he hits the City streets, the rain is coming down in a flood from above making visibility nearly impossible for the hunting of any creature at the moment. Yet, we are determined to eliminate this city from its problem tonight.
So glancing over his shoulder, he looks at me, “You know this man, do you know if he has any second home or a place where he would hide a bunch of goddam monster?”
I only but shake my head, “I only knew the way around his beloved.”
Sam cannot help but chuckle as he shakes his head, “Do not let Cassidy hear that.”
“Yes, the woman will have my head. Thank god she is not an Ancient anymore.”
Then Sam looks at me again with a rather strange look that I cannot place, “They say that it is a curse that you cannot really escape.”
“No my friend, believe me, if she was one then I would have known by now.”
“My god,” Dean starts to mumble above his breath, “I do not want to know the details. Now how is it that every conversation with you leads to sex.”
“It only seems that way to you for you have not been…”
He immediately stops me dead in my words as he brings the car to a slow stop. Both Sam and me look at him rather strange as he points into the direction of what seems to be an abandoned parking lot.
Only frowning at him, I try to make sense of what he is pointing to, “What on earth are you seeing for even with my keen senses I cannot see through this down pour of rain.”
But just as he is about to speak, I hear a loud thump as something hits the back window of the car. As I turn in fully expecting to see hail coming down from the skies, I am very sadly mistaken as the head, and need I reiterate, but only the head of a woman comes crashing down onto the window. It appears that her neck was severed from her body.
Dean looks at me with a shocked look on his face and then back to Sam with only a nod, “It is a Were-Vamp that did that.”
