The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 70 - Where is Claudina?

Chapter 70 - Where is Claudina?

The following night, as Edna had arranged, a special dinner commenced celebrating Arthur's victory

and the newfound momentum of his ambition for a brighter future.

On the top floor of the Golden Park Restaurant, Edna, Alicia, and Arthur's bodyguards had gathered,

as well as - to Claudina's surprise - the thirty orphans from the orphanage whom Arthur had rescued at

the auction Claudina had organized. Astonished that they had also joined them.

Arthur stepped into the grandiose room, the people already inside wearing masks that befitted the

masquerade ball theme. The atmosphere was made even more pleasant by the sound of the piano and

violin playing in the corner. All eyes were on him as he made his grand entrance in his sharp, black

suit. His appearance was nothing short of dashing.

"Ah, it's Mr. Glitzy, he sure looks dashing...." exclaimed the orphanage, their eyes widening in awe at

Arthur's presence.

"Mr. Glitzy, I want to marry him when I grow up," one of them said.

"Hey, were you dreaming?" scoffed another. "Mr. Glitzy only belongs to Claudina, you better marry me."

"No, I want Mr. Glitzy to be the only one," his friend replied determinedly.

"Is Mr. Glitzy will let me take a picture with him?" they asked hopefully. "I want to express my gratitude

to him."

Edna stood up from her chair and walked over to the children, a smile on her red lips, which were

partially obscured by a silver mask.

"Would you like to say hello to Mr. Glitzy in person?" she asked softly.

"Yes," replied the children excitedly. "We want to take a picture with Mr. Glitzy!"

Edna then brought the children closer to Arthur, who immediately elicited a sense of curiosity in their

hearts.

"Hi, thank you for coming to tonight's event," Arthur said, his voice calm and soothing. A surge of

happiness filled his heart as he watched the orphans, which reminded him of himself. He was

overjoyed to know they were being provided with the care they deserved after he had made such a

generous contribution.

"Mr. Glitzy, you are very dashing and kind," a 12-year-old girl said, walking up to him. "Can I come to

this place more often to see you?"

"Yes, sure," Arthur replied with a smile. "I will come to your new house more often, once it's finished

renovating, okay?"

After exchanging some friendly greetings with the orphans, Arthur walked towards the table in the

middle of the room. Alicia was already seated and waiting for him. She smiled and waved at Arthur,

calling out, “Mr. Glitzy Oppa, come here!”

Arthur smiled back, and, accompanied by Edna, he took a seat beside Alicia and faced Edna.

Edna beamed at Arthur and said, "Tonight must be a very special night, isn't it, Boss?"

Edna was elated as the number of personnel supporting Arthur increased by the day.

Arthur smiled at Edna's words, and his heart was immediately filled with contentment and joy he had

never experienced before. He felt warmth and happiness like he had never known, surrounded by

people who cared for him and truly wanted the best for him.

"Yes," he answered quietly. "I'm so happy that you all are here. Just knowing you all care about me fills

me with a happiness I can't even begin to describe."

"Mr. Glitzy Oppa, if you are content with our presence, I'll always be here for you - from now until

eternity. You won't have to feel lonely living in a luxurious hotel all by yourself," Alicia suddenly replied

with a light chuckle.

"Don't you mean to say it's as if you were proposing to Mr. Glitzy, Alicia?" Edna then said teasingly.

Alicia just giggled in response. "No need to worry, Edna Unnie, because you'll always be first in line for

that," she said.

Arthur smiled as he watched Edna and Alicia become closer, often joking and teasing each other. After

a few minutes of friendly banter, Benno approached Arthur, his eyes filled with wonder. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

"Boss," he began, "luxury is nothing unfamiliar to me, but this place…it's absolutely remarkable! Being

a private driver has never been this glamorous before."

Arthur nodded, knowing that Benno was pleased with his new job. "I'm glad you like it," he said.

Edna then chimed in. "Boss, I've also picked out a new car for you," she said.

“Really?” Arthur asked, remembering that he had asked Edna to choose a bigger car with more

complete facilities in case he wanted to take a long trip.

"Yes, Boss," Benno said. "That is the Roll-Royce Silver Shadow II. With its state-of-the-art features

such as a powerful audio system, navigation, high-tech infotainment system, and luxurious interior, the

Silver Shadow II is one of the most exclusive luxury cars in the world. In fact, only 10 units are

produced each year, and they cost an incredible 200 million US dollars apiece."

Benno's face lit up with joy, and he chuckled, "Oops, sorry boss, I just couldn't help myself! This car has

amazing power and an incredibly comfortable ride. It's fit for royalty, and I'm sure you're worthy of it.

Plus, you have me as your personal driver – with my top-notch skills and professionalism!" He finished

with a broad smile.

"No, it's okay," Arthur assured. "It just demonstrates how passionate you are about cars, and I really

appreciate that you're confident in your decisions. What's more..." He then paused, reflecting on a few

things that had been lingering in his mind.

"Are you certain that this is the right decision, Benno? Aren't you concerned that your fans and

sponsors will be looking for you, now that you've suddenly retired from professional racing?"

Benno had many admirers, supporters, and sponsors, who were all accustomed to him as a

professional car racer. Therefore, it was understandable that they would be taken aback if he suddenly

chose to retire from the sport and become a private driver.

Benno paused and steadied himself, a hint of excitement in his eyes. He had been a professional racer

for many years, but his true passion was an adventure. Winning the championship title had not been

enough to satisfy him, and he hoped that serving Arthur would bring him the new challenges and thrills

he was looking for.

"No need to ask again, Boss," he said confidently, a smirk on his face. "I made a bet with you, and I'm

ready to abide by it. I'm sure you will have amazing future plans, and I want to be at the front seat to

witness it all. I can't wait to see what lies ahead."

Benno nodded in agreement, giving Arthur his assurance. "Okay, Boss. I'll meet up with the others and

enjoy tonight's event," he said, turning away and beginning to walk away.

"This is a new adventure for me," Benno added over his shoulder, his excitement growing with every

step.

One unanswered question remains: "Where is Claudina?"
