Chapter 79 - A New Beginning
Chapter 79 - A New Beginning
"Let me explain the strategies I have put together for this company," Arthur said confidently. "There's no
need for you to worry about it. I'll also demonstrate why my assertion of becoming the CEO of this
company is not just a lot of nonsense."
Arthur meticulously prepared all the essential knowledge and data to respond to the questions asked
by his employees. He was not, however, prepared to share this information with everyone, as he
wanted to rid himself of certain people.
"Nevertheless," he said firmly, "I will only divulge my strategies to those I deem suitable to realize my
vision. I have already chosen them based on my criteria."
"What do you mean by that, sir? Are you suggesting a mass layoff? I think this is too serious an issue
to consider without consulting us, the executives of this company," someone responded to Arthur.
"That's right, boss. You cannot make such an important decision without consulting with us first; it
would only harm the company further."
"You just joined us today, how can you be so sure that your decision is the right one?"
Arthur didn't respond to the complaints, but instead, he projected various graphics and informative data
onto the screen behind him. He began to explain the lack of successful strategies that had been
implemented up to that point, as well as potential ways to improve them - even if only a small part of
the overall strategy he had prepared.
"This is what I've been working on," he said.
"I'm sure you're all quite familiar with all the data I've presented here. I've conducted a comprehensive
analysis of the data and conclusions I've made here. Later on I will go into greater depth about the
strategy. With all of this, I'm sure you can recognize how well I understand this company. I'm more than
qualified to be the CEO of this company," Arthur declared confidently.
"How does he have all this data? And how is it that he seems to know the company's problems as if
he's been here since it was founded?"
"He definitely seems to have a good grasp of the state of the company," remarked someone. "It doesn't
sound like he's merely bragging about his goals."
"I believe he's truly committed to expanding the business," added another. "We can put our faith in
him."
People were filled with admiration and awe after Arthur cleverly demonstrated his understanding of the
company's issues.
"However," Arthur continued, "in order to make my plan more effective, I have had to make the difficult
decision to let go of some of the company's employees. You should have received an email from me
regarding this matter by now. For those of you who haven't seen any emails from me, it means I am
offering you the opportunity to join me in furthering the success of this company."
The employees' worst nightmares had finally become a reality; they frantically opened their email apps
on their phones, anxiously refreshing them in anticipation of the dreaded email from Arthur that they
had been warned about.
Several of the executive members in the room immediately rose to their feet and slammed their hands
on the table.
"What the hell, Arthur? You have no grounds to fire me! I've done a lot for this company!," shouted one
of them.
"Boss," the other implored, "can you tell me why you've decided to let me go from this company? This
seems totally unfair." Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
"Everyone who objected to my decision," Arthur said, "you may ask me personally about my decision
regarding your dismissal. I do not mind explaining all the bad things and sins that you have committed,
and I am willing to involve the police to prove my claim and ensure you receive the punishment you
deserve. Please consider your decision carefully. That is all."
Some people were still disgruntled and seemed prepared to challenge Arthur, but they were aware of
the consequences of their actions. Eventually, they realized there was nothing else they could do, so
they reluctantly departed the room.
They declared, "I'll make sure this company is bankrupt in no time. There's no way you can turn this
company around."
Two bodyguards belonging to Arthur guarded the room, vigilantly ensuring that no one dared to fight.
After a few tense minutes, only five of the executive members remained. Though still fearful of the
same fate, they felt slightly relieved.
Around three-thousand of the twenty-thousand employees of Brown Company received the Breed
Letter on that day. In an attempt to express their rage, they fought back, but Arthur's bodyguards
eventually scared them off, prompting the employees to flee the building.
On that day, thousands of Brown Company employees felt that misfortune had truly befallen them,
blaming it all on Arthur, who had fired them without apparent cause.
However, those who remained also felt a sense of optimism, believing that their new leader had a clear
vision and the capability to guide the company to success.
"I think this might be a new beginning for us," someone said.
"Yeah," another replied, "it looks like Boss Arthur really knows what he's doing."
Alicia took a deep breath and stared at the scene in front of her. Arthur was doing something incredible
and she couldn't help but feel like she was watching a main character in a story. She shook her head in
disbelief and said, "Why is this the first time I've seen someone like Arthur Oppa? This doesn't look
real. He seems to be standing against the world."
Edna smiled, nodding in agreement. "I know. He really is brave for doing something like this. We need
to make sure he gets the best support from us, right?"
Alicia smirked, still shaking her head. "He will always get my support to beat up anyone who dares to
humiliate him in front of me," she declared.
