Chapter 28: 28
Chapter 28: 28
Weeks had passed and Lauren and Keane's fake relationship was hitting off. They were spotted
everywhere they went. Holding hands and laughing like a real couple did. Cody and Jack had long
forgotten about their friends and were enjoying the newfound fame they had gotten.
A new girl was seen with them every single week, they changed them like tissue paper. Playing around
and messing up with their hearts. There was a fight every week between the girls because of Jack and
Cody but they didn't seem to care, at all.
“Keane." A brunette beautiful girl run to sit on his laps.
“Hey, baby sis." He ruffled her hair making her pout.
“Hi." She cheerfully greeted Lauren.
“Hello, I am Lauren, Keane's---"
"Girlfriend, I know. He talks of you non stop each and every day." Mildred teased making Lauren blush.
“Time to go no Mil," Keane added.
“Bye Keane, see you around Lauren." Mildred chuckled as she walked out.
“So?" Lauren asked as Keane blushed.
“Amelia?" Rita called to her friend who was walking alone to the bus stop. Lauren was with Keane and
she had looked for Rita after school but she didn't find her so she decided to take the lead.
“Where have you been?" She asked her friend as she joined her.
“I-I was with Mathew." She whispered under her breath.
“ Excuse me, I didn't get that." Amelia pressed.
“I was with Mathew." She said as the bus arrived for them to climb.
“Wow, what did he say?" She asked happily for her friend.
“Well, he wanted us to hang this Friday after school." She blushed.
“That's awesome, have fun yah." She pinched her friend's cheek.
“I will, but you're coming with me, he asked me to come with you." She added.
“I ain't gonna be a third wheel, nah-uh, I'd rather watch Netflix and chill with my Nana." She told her
friend.
“You won't be third-wheeling, besides Lauren would be there." Rita probed further.
“With Keane of course and you with Mathew, and I would be the odd one out. I really appreciate this
baby girl, but I can't come with you guys." Amelia said with finality in her voice.
“Okay, but would you help me pick out a dress, please? You owe me that right?" Her friend pleaded.
“Okay, I'd come over tomorrow to help you pick out a dress, is that okay?" Amelia smiled.
“Thank you, see you tomorrow then," Rita said getting off the bus waving her friend.
Finally, he's been able to notice her. Amelia smiled to herself.
“Hi, Nana." Amelia greeted as she entered the kitchen.
“Sweetheart, how was school today?" Trudy asked her granddaughter.
“Quite eventful, Rita got asked out by her long time crush." She told pouring herself a glass of milk.
“Finally, Mathew asked her out?" Trudy inquired.
“Yes, yes he did, she wanted me to come with them since Lauren would be around but I don't want to
be a third wheel, Nana." She confessed.
“What if you're not? You'd never know until you go." Trudy stated.
“I already told her I wasn't coming, I was going to stay in with you, we could watch Netflix and chill,"
Amelia suggested.
“Nope, you're gonna call her and tell her you've changed your mind. You my dear are going for the
party and that's final." Trudy added with finality in her voice.
“Fine," Amelia grumbled taking her glass of milk and a plate of cookies upstairs.
Maybe it won't be as bad as I am imagining it. Amelia thought dialling Rita's number.
“Hey, girl," Rita answered.
“Hi, um, about the party Nana says I should go so, how about you come over tomorrow so we can
prepare together," Amelia told.
“Yaaay, I love you, Nana Trudy!" Rita added on dramatically.
“Hahahahah, I'd see you at school tomorrow, wait is your car ready?" She remembered Rita's car had a
fault that was why she took the bus with Amelia.
“Yeah, I just got it back a few minutes ago, I'd come pick you up tomorrow morning, make sure to wake
up early sleepy head. You know I love you right?" She smiled.
“Love you more Rita bear, bye." Amelia dropped the call as she began with her homework.
“Hi." Miguel greeted as he entered the salon.
“Hey Miguel," Jess said as she tried hugging him.
“I can see business is booming," he added as he walked past her escaping her hug.
“Ye-yeah, a whole lot of people have been coming in and out. Others said they had waited so long for
the salon to be reopened." She told him.
“I see, it took me a whole lot of courage to open up this place again." He confessed.
“Wanna get lunch later?" Jess inquired.
“Um, I'll pass. I've got something to do in the office," he added.
“Okay, have a nice day then." Jess bid shocked and worried about his sudden change in attitude. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
I hope he's fine. Jess thought to herself as she continued her work.
“If I got locked away
And we lost it all today
Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same?
If I showed you my flaws
If I couldn't be strong
Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same?
Right about now
If I judge for life, man, would you stay by my side?
Or is you gonna say goodbye?
Can you tell me right now?
If I couldn't buy you the fancy things in life
Shawty, would it be alright?
Come on show me that you know
Now tell me would you really ride for me?
Baby tell me would you die for me?
Would you spend your whole life with me?
Would you be there to always hold me down?
Tell me would you really cry for me?
Baby don't lie to me
If I didn't have anything
I wanna know would you stick around?
If I got locked away
And we lost it all today
Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same?
If I showed you my flaws
If I couldn't be strong
Tell me honestly, would you still love me the same?"
She sat at the balcony of her house smoking a cigar as the song played on. She starred into the open,
as the city slept on. She loved the way the stars twinkled in the skies that night.
“Am I not worthy of love, or to be loved?" She asked out loud. She hadn't had a good experience with
love. The one she thought who loved her, only wanted her for her body and nothing else.
“Chill out love, you will find someone who would love you for you, don't you force it, and don't you rush
it. Patience is a virtue." She smiled as she sipped from her wine glass, putting out her cigar as she
stepped into her room. The air was getting quite chilly and she had a whole lot of work to do that
morning.
“Sleep, here I come." She said as she climbed her bed turning her lights out. Her brown cute poodle
puppy cuddled in her arms as they drifted off to sleep as she run her fingers through her pups
fur.
