The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2725

"You're not going to say any nonsense to the outside world, are you? I warn you, don't do it." Sylvester's expression abruptly turned cold as he warned me seriously. Did he think I was him?

I scoffed and replied lightly, "Sylvester, I would never do something so unrefined."

I could tell there were ripples behind Sylvester's calm visage now.

One of his long arms was pressed against the hem of his suit trousers. His slightly hooked fingers proved the conflict that he was feeling at the moment.

"If nothing else, then I'll leave first now."

"You said you wanted to bring Silas down with me. What's your plan?"

Sylvester finally said.NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.

It was Sylvester's dream to use Grant Corporation to elevate himself. Considering I had personally come knocking on his door with the opportunity, he really had no reason to not agree.

The corners of my mouth curled slightly. "It's actually very simple. As long as you do your best to lead the Yard Group, I believe the people will side with you sooner or later. I'll share this with Theo and have him share resources with you."

He might not believe me, but he would trust in Grant Corporation's strength. Grant Corporation was fully capable of spurring the Yard Group. Grant Corporation was now as strong as the Yards had been back then. Their value had increased even more after what happened with Nibel.

This was a great temptation for Sylvester but I also knew he would be very cautious.

I noticed him directing a scrutinizing gaze toward me. "You hate grandfather this much?"

"Isn't it the same for you?" I asked casually.

Sylvester shook his head with a smile. Crossing his legs, a trace of bitterness spread across his face. "I'm different from you."

Come to think of it, he must have suffered a lot for so many years.

"I don't know what you went through, I only know that Silas ruined my mother and my peace. I will have retribution," I practically said through gritted teeth.

Sylvester was looking at me with an unusually calm gaze. "How can you be sure that I have hostility toward him?"

His eyes were filled with anticipation; he seemed curious about my answer.

I pursed my lips. There did not seem

to be anything that I could not say, so I answered him leisurely, "Theo told me actually. Maybe he did his research or maybe it was just a guess. Regardless, I thought I'd give it a shot in order to achieve my goal."

"Our personalities are really similar. We're indeed brother and sister," Sylvester suddenly said.

I coughed dryly and turned my head away. "President Yard, do you wish to cooperate?" I changed the subject.

This was a fair and a win-win deal. Sylvester had no reason to refuse, but he still seemed hesitant and unable to make a decision.

"Frankly speaking, I'm convinced,

dangerous for me."

I could understand Sylvester's worries. This was no guarantee for him. If Silas was to abandon him now, he would have nothing else.

I nodded. "Alright. I'll give you some

time to consider. It's all up to you whether or not you want to trust me I want your answer in two days. If you don't give me a reply, I'll take your silence as a refusal of this cooperation. I won't trouble you anymore today. Goodbye

I tried my best to look calm and left Yard Group before Sylvester.

Making my way out of the building and into my car, I finally heaved a sigh of relief.

I was so nervous.

I wondered if Sylvester would believe that I was sincere about helping him or think I was up to something else.
