Young Lord of The Dragon Sect

Chapter 1039 Catch the Wrong Guy

Chapter 1039 Catch the Wrong Guy

The middle-aged man was going to let Maximilian go if he agreed to apologize to his son, and if

Maximilian chose not, he would then let him pay for everything.

Maximilian raised his head and looked at the middle-aged man, thinking that even if it was quite an

easy thing to do, he still disdained to doing so since he had done nothing wrong.

In grievance and anger, Finlay was in an itch to both force Maximilian to apologize and let him pay for

what he had done.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to say sorry for that." Maximilian shook his head and said.

With his face turned stiff, the middle-aged man was irritated by the defiant response of Maximilian.

"Then, how about I give you a slap instead of that?" The middle-aged man hummed, and was going to

take it seriously.

Hearing that, Maximilian smiled and remained silent, as if he was listening to some sort of hilarious

joke.

The middle-aged man burst into rage seeing Maximilian's disrespectful stance.

For Finlay, he was delighted to see his father in rage and couldn't wait to see his father kick

Maximilian's ass.

The middle-aged man, with a sullen look on his face, stepped towards Maximilian and gave him a slap.

However, at the moment when his hand was about to touch Maximilian's face, he was stunned that

Maximilian defended his attack as quick as lightning.

Maximilian plainly said, "You'd better not to get yourself involved with me, or you will definitely regret it."

The middle-aged man laughed out of rage, and was determined to take down Maximilian no matter

what. However, no matter how hard he tried, his attack was always defended by Maximilian.

With his face flushed with furious shamefulness, he gritted his teeth and waved his hands, "Lock him

up!"

In fret, he had lost his patience, and didn't know why Maximilian had such audacious confidence to

challenge his authority. He decided to make Maximilian pay for his arrogance.

Though locked up, Maximilian still calmly smiled at the middle-aged man and said, "I bet that you will

regret it."

Hearing that, the middle-aged man was confused, and wondering why he was still in such confidence

under the situation.

"Then, show me how will you make me regret, fool." With a twisted and angry smile on his face, the

middle-aged man said. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

"Simple, just let me have a phone call to someone." Straightforwardly, Maximilian said.

With his arms crossed, the middle-aged man laughed again and thought that he was putting on air.

At this moment, Finlay stepped out and mocked, "Just give it up, fucker! It's no use for you to call for

help, since my father nearly has his hands everywhere!"

He didn't believe that Maximilian could ever call up anyone who was able to hierarchical stun his father.

However, the middle-aged man frowned, and felt there was something not right, since Maximilian was

not seemingly pretending to be confident — he did seem to have relationships with someone special.

While he soon shook his head, and thought that there was no way that Maximilian would ever know

any big bugs. Even if it was, he would still do things according to the rules.

Maximilian then phoned Chief Carr, the only one who could help him at the moment.

On the other end of the phone, Chief Carr heard from Maximilian about everything and was shocked by

the situation. He believed Maximilian, since he was by no doubt a good guy who had helped him catch

Phoenix.

However, he had never expected that the men from W city's government would ever do this to him,

which was completely a colossal absurdity.

"Give him the phone, and I will talk to him." Said Chief Carr, who was going to pull a few strings and got

Maximilian out of there.

Maximilian handed the phone over to the middle-aged man and said, "Here is a call for you."

The middle-aged man, in anxiety and vacillation, tremblingly took the phone from Maximilian. At the

next moment, he was stunned to find that at the other end of the phone was exactly Chief Carr, a man

whom he could never stand against in government.

"Oh, it's you, Chief Carr! You're not going to speak for that little theft, aren't you?" The middle-aged

man still regarded Maximilian as the initiator of the whole thing, and wondered whether Chief Carr was

his accomplice.

"What's wrong with you, Caden? You guys have caught the wrong person! The man standing in front of

you is my friend, who has helped me catch Phoenix. What's more, he is much wealthier than you could

ever imagine, and thus he will by no means ever steal anything from others!"

"What? Is he the one who helped you catch Phoenix? But he looks quite ordinary, and is not seemingly

as rich as you said." Hearing the words of Chief Carr, the middle-aged man, with his forehead wet with

sweat, was confused and worried that if what he said was true, he would be in big trouble.

Helplessly, Chief Carr continued, "I told you that you should look into the details before you do

anything! Just check it with your own son. Besides, I noticed there are some records related to your

son, which are all about his dereliction of duty."
